This is how things change in politics.

One of the Senate races projected to go Democratic in the exit polls has moved back to tied.

It's going to be a bumpy night.

70% turnout in MO! 65% in VA! That is INCREDIBLE for a midterm election!

I'm very nervous, 10 minutes to go for the first results.

Republicans are doing about as expected in Indiana races where the GOP dominates. No surprises yet.

Regit,
When you post results can you post the state too?

Nothing surprising so far.

Bernie Sanders is a Senator from Vermont.

Some races that are over -

When a lot are coming in, I won't have time to write everything like vote totals. Also excuse spelling mistakes. :D

Republican candidates declared winners in:

Indiana House 5
Kentucky House 5

Democrats declared winners in:

Kentucky House 6
Vermont House 1
South Carolina House 6

None of those are surprises. The numbers are the House district, not the number of seats won.

7:30pm ET

Polls close in Ohio, North Carolina, and West Virginia.

Watch the Senate race in Ohio... Mike DeWine, the incumbent Republican, has been trailing in the polls to Sherrod Brown. This is considered a likely Democratic pickup.

There were quite a few people at my voting station this morning. My mayor and his counsel members were running unopposed even!

Helen - I can understand what you mean about the polls but are they ALWAYS RIGHT?? If you don't vote, you have no right, IMHO, to complain about the results. You just gave that right away to the pollsters.

69% reporting.

Kentucky House

Yarmuth-D 50%
Northup-R 49%

A heavily Republican district. Would be a nice win for the Dems if results hold up.
