our new house will have radiant heat in the floors and we were at a place in Anchorage during the last two weeks that indeed had heated toilet seats.

We get plenty of the dog hair tumbleweeds with the tile floor too. Honestly, it makes me a cleaner person cuz I can't stand seeing the things rolling lazily around on the floor when I walk by, so grab the vac and do a quick cleanup. I think about the carpet days and how we could just ignore the pet hair. No wonder our allergies were out of control.

Same here. I HAVE to vacuum everyday. I have no problem with it because I love each and everyone of my animals.

I don't dare use the swifter since my pet licks everything I don't want him to get sick, so it's hands and knees on the kitchen & bathroom floor...much better than a mop :D
