Update: FOX pulls O.J. special

#1 Postby Brent » Wed Nov 15, 2006 12:42 am

When I read this I just couldn't believe it.

Over 10 years after he was tried for two murders in the Trial of the Century that captured the attention of the world, O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes. Noted publisher Judith Regan will talk with Simpson in a wide-ranging, no-holds-barred interview that will be the basis of a two-part special, O.J. SIMPSON: IF I DID IT, HERES HOW IT HAPPENED (working title), airing Monday, Nov. 27 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, Nov. 29 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Just WOW. No wonder FOX is dead without American Idol.

Interesting. I don't want to click on the link and hope this is fake. Of course because of Double Jeopardy OJ could come out and say he killed them without (if our system is working correctly) no fear of punishment. That is how I understand the law...

I'm sure there's a loophole somewhere...

Don't blame Fox...blame the people that will watch it.

This is the Fox network, right, not Fox news?

The Fox network is a sleazeball network even before this, if you ask me.

Way back in the 80's when Fox debuted and brought us "Married With Children," I knew it was a sad excuse for a network. Don't get me wrong -- they've had some fair shows that I've enjoyed. And no one can deny that "The Simpsons" has broken some serious records with its long run on the network. But overall, it's a terrible network with raunchy programming and brainless shows.

I'll will watch since I invested many hours 10 years ago to follow this trial. I'm not saying he's innocent, but I have serious doubts I would have turned in a guilty plea if I had sat on the jury.

OJ's a smart cookie. I'll be watching closely to see if he slips and says something that raises a red flag. Then again, I guess he can say anything because this is pure fiction, right???? I don't know, I just find the concept intriguing.

Can't be any worse than the slew of reality shows that millions watch each week.

Right j. Botched crime scene evidence. Each passing day during his trial I knew the prosecution was heading for a huge defeat and that a murderer would not be convicted because of their failure to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The same evidence was introduced in the civil trial in which he was found to be negligent. That further proved to me right there that the murder trial was a joke.

There are laws against murder as well. But that doesn't stop some people from getting away with it.

A friend of mine who knows I don't have television (by choice, though YES, I know there are good things on it) told me this story today - he just laughed when my mouth fell open. He opened by saying...there ought to be an OJ hand truck to carry his balls in, they are so big...(sorry if that's too crude, but, if this is really going on, it's as true as anything else).

Laws that bar what? Telling a hypothetical murder story?

Married with Children was an awesome show. I loved it. Still watch the repeats.

The trial should of ended in a mistrial or technicality, which I still stand-by to this day. I felt the trial was not right. Not to make it racial, the jury make-up should of had more Asians and Hispanics. It was mostly Blacks.

Speechless. That's all I'm going to say.

They may have had a better chance of nabbing him on conspiracy to commit murder or accessary to first degree murder than the actual murder. Finger prints were found that did not belong to OJ (and he was alleged to be the sole killer), casting serious doubt on the prosecution case (that alone, would have lead me to find him not guilty, not withstanding the lies told by the LAPD, which under California law gave the jury the right to disregard the entire testamony of those witnesses). However, with the blood found in his car, they would have had a much better chance at the lesser charges, but still would have put him away for at least 10 years
