Little girl attempts to steal toys at knifepoint

#1 Postby Aquawind » Thu Nov 16, 2006 9:55 pm

LARGO - A seven to eight year old girl is on the lam from authorities today after a failed armed robbery attempt at Wal-Mart.

The child hid some Lego toy blocks under her coat and tried to slide out the door but was confronted by an employee who undoubtedly said something like, drop the legos little girl.

The girl did not comply but instead brandished a 10" carving knife she said carried for protection.

The employee talked the girl into putting down both the toys and the knife, but the culprit fled on her bicycle before authorities could apprehend her.

I am a journalism student, and I would not even think of writing something like that even in my first intro course! I think I found an internship. Perhaps I can make their news stories better! ;) Seriously, the lead was alright, but there are many style errors and structure errors. It would make my journalism instructors go haywire!

So much for that ryhme that goes:
"what are little boys made of..snips and snails and puppy dog tails"
"what are little girls made of..sugar and spice and everything nice" .

Evidently, not so.

However, one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch.
