I missed the "recrap" episode and missed last week's show, too. :( My husband set the VCR but neglected to change the time on it to reflect the return to standard time. Nothing will keep me away from this "Mutiny" episode except a power outage. :D

That was a great episode..probably the best episode all season imo.

Yeah, its probably some sort of incentive in that bottle, but by the look of Ozzy's face, it is probably something even more grand.

Finally caught up with all my recorded shows from last week. Wow - yes this was the best episode of the entire season. Candace - what was she thinking? And Jonathan - stupid, stupid move. What in the heck was he thinking? At least he knows he made a bad decision.

That Ozzy, I swear there is nothing he can't do.

Ozzy is my new favorite, followed by Nate. My daughter pointed out that we never have female favorites. Which is true. I wonder why? LOL

TV Guide interview with recently voted out Brad:

Survivor's Brad Talks About Being a Fashion Victim
by Angel Cohn

Things were going swimmingly for Survivor: Cook Islands' cute Brad Virata. That is, until his choice not to swim in a challenge significantly contributed to his tribe's loss. The tide turned after that, and, with Nate gunning for him, the Raro tribe banded together and booted Brad, who says he never saw it coming. TVGuide.com spoke with the Lucky Brand Jeans fashion director about his unlucky ouster.
TVGuide.com: On Thursday's episode, you told Jeff Probst you didn't trust everyone. Who did you not trust?
Brad Virata: I didn't trust Jenny, and I didn't trust Candice or Jonathan simply because I didn't know them.

TVGuide.com: What did you think of the mutiny?
Brad: I thought it was crazy; it was something that had never really taken place before. It took a lot of guts for Jonathan and Candice to step off the mat, and I was totally surprised.

TVGuide.com: Well, I was surprised that your Raro tribe kept Jonathan after he defected from the Aitu tribe.
Brad: You and me both! I had totally pegged him for the next one to get voted off.

TVGuide.com: Were you completely blindsided?
Brad: I was blindsided, but parting was bittersweet. Part of me was like, "This is a good thing. I'll be able to take a shower and brush my teeth." I was excited about that. Part of me wanted to follow through and finish the game. I was really excited to make jury, and that was one of the first goals I had coming into the game.

TVGuide.com: Why did you want to go on Survivor?
Brad: To be honest with you, the reason why is because I wanted to challenge myself from a physical and a mental standpoint. I feel like I've lived in this box my entire life, and I wanted to step out of the box and try something different and see how far my mind and body could go. I am proud of myself.

TVGuide.com: So who do you think had the best fashion sense out on the island?
Brad: This is a tough question; I've got to think about this one. [Pauses] I really like the way Parvati was put together at the end of the day. Her little black two-piece? She worked that well, and she did a great job and looked fantastic in it.

TVGuide.com: Is there someone you think is in dire need of a makeover?
Brad: Yeah, I saw Stephannie in her exit interview, and I could help her out. Just give me like an hour or two with that girl in South Carolina.

TVGuide.com: Nate seemed to turn against you when you didn't swim in that ocean challenge. Why didn't you just swim?
Brad: First and foremost, Rebecca stepped up to the plate. She was like, "Dude, I've been practicing. I can do this, let me swim." We're like, "OK." We had lost every challenge in the home stretch, and I didn't want to lose this challenge because of a stupid puzzle. I do puzzles. I knew it would be a slam dunk, but it didn't go well with a lot of my other teammates.

TVGuide.com: Your tribe also seemed to think you'd flip after the merge. What was your post-merge plan?
Brad: Yul, Becky and I had formed a really tight alliance out of the gate when we were with team Puka. I don't know, I probably would have switched. Hindsight is 20/20. I should have stepped off the mat [during the mutiny], and I would have gone a lot further in the game.

TVGuide.com: Speaking of your original teammates, did Cao Boi's headache remedy actually work?
Brad: It totally worked. As kooky and crazy as that guy is, his old-school technique and that hickey on my forehead worked. I threw up, like, 25 or 30 times that day because of seasickness, and I had this throbbing migraine headache, and he made it go away.

TVGuide.com: Was there anything you saw while you were watching the show that surprised you?
Brad: Yeah, I can't believe that Nate called me a "nancy boy." I could probably beat him at any physical challenge there is. I know that I'm a faster swimmer than him. Being one of the only gay guys on the show that's out, I really don't feel like I'm a "nancy boy." I'm shocked that I come across that way to him.

TVGuide.com: I feel like we didn’t get to see a lot of you. Were you laying low?
Brad: I wasn't laying low. I didn't really try to stir the waters. I tried to play an honest game. Sometimes that can be not the most entertaining. I tell it like it is, and I didn't want to talk trash about people; it is just not my style. I wanted to go out with class.

Yeah...can you imagine if the other tribe lost, they would have only been down to 2 members.

Maybe there were 2 bottles if that happened? I can't imagine they'd be forced to go from 4 to 2 members. I fully expected Nate's tribe had to vote someone off Ozzy's tribe, not their own. I keep getting all the tribe names mixed up.

Rebecca looked very upset. Did you catch her half-a** wave - as if to say - I'm done with ya all? And Jenny - she looked just plain ole mad. She will not be smiling next week, when she takes her seat with the jury.

Finally, Johnathan may be able to fish but he doesn't compete very well. And you would think he'd be a strong competitor. I love all the comments his new tribe say in challenges. LOL

Meanwhile, Ozzy's just giving it 150% and kicking their butts! Love it....

Survivor: Cook Islands
by Rhoda Charles

November 16, 2006: Four Straight Wins

I love, love, love this show! It has excitement; it has conflict; it has betrayal; it has underdogs; it even has new verbs. Where else would you hear about octopussying? And Rebecca, if you chose only to speak one word during this week's show, I'm glad it was that one. Let's see, it is day 22 and over the course of the next three days Aitu pulled out another two challenge wins making it a four challenge sweep since the infamous mutiny. I'm so pleased for this underdog team and who says that dog can't hold a grudge? They sent Candice to do yet another stint on Exile Island and to display the workings of their well-oiled machine, Aitu members all chimed in together to call her name. Aww.

For whatever reason, Jonathan is bearing none of the brunt of the mutiny from his former 'mates. If he makes it to the merge we'll see if all is forgiven but Raro is going to have to start winning some immunity challenges. I mean, they have double the numbers, you'd think that would count for something. In Raro's case double the numbers turned into a double elimination sending both Rebecca and the pissed-off Jenny to seats two and three of the jury box. Things have become a little black and white on this tribe. The lesson for the week – surprises in bottles aren't always a good thing.

Given that Jenny suffered the most from the second vote, I'm wondering if Raro felt, as I did, that she was trying to throw the compass challenge by not digging. Not that it mattered. Adam and Candice spent enough time arguing over east by southeast to make Raro's loss fully a team effort.

Aitu's reward was a very cool feast with the locals who gave them a warrior's welcome and got Yul to engage in a little freak dancing. That's another thing I love about Survivor – it always makes an effort to show the native culture of the host islands. After this win the "four orphans" were now well fed, relaxed and ready for yet another victory because honestly any loss on their side would be a devastating blow. There are nine players left in the game, no sign of a merge and Probst only knows how many more surprises yet to come. This season has been many things – controversial, uneven, humorous and at times dull but it has kept my attention. For the love of Survivor, that's why I keep watching.

The Aitu tribe is amazing. They work so well together and are so proud of their victories. Mary, you and I usually like the same "winner". Isn't it funny how we didn't really care for Ozzy at the beginning but now he's just as cute as a button and so good at everything he tries. Yep, you're right, we always pick a guy as our favorite!!

OK, correct me if i'm wrong, fellow survivor fans.... but...
i'm pretty sure jonathan found the hidden immunity some weeks ago...did he not? so even if he gets voted to go off for the first time...he can still use it and will stay on for at least another week, right?

No Jonathan doesn't have the idol. I think it's Yul that has it. He's the oriental guy. I'm so terrible with names.

Yeah, it's Yul. He's on the 4-member Aitu tribe.
