Gmail

#1 Postby angelwing » Fri Nov 17, 2006 8:59 am

Ok, yesterday I had to back up a ton of stuff from my work computer so I sent a ton of files to one of my gmail accounts. Went in this morning to make sure everything was uploaded before they switched my pc and now gmail is totally blocked out. I was wondering if anyone knew of a "back-door" that I could use to access gmail? If not I'll have to figure something out. A lot of these files are over 3 megs so gmail was the best place to put them.

Any help would be appreciated!

The block will lift itself pretty quickly. They say 24 hours, bu tit's usually much shorter than that. This happens to me from time to time, as I use one of my gmail accounts essentially as a backup hard drive.

Don't you have a network share on your employeer's network that you can put these files instead of up on the internet? Because of the security threat of putting items up on the internet to save, my employeer has most sites like that blocked because sites like this could be easier hacked into. IMHO, its very unsafe to put documents up there for work related purposes.
