I recently saw some clips from Nip/Tuck and I was shocked!

Oh and about Edie... apparently they had shot multiple endings last night and one featured her getting shot, so the producers did have it as a possibility.

Finally, more Roseanne connections. Brian Kerwin, who plays Harvey, played Jackie's boyfriend in Season 3 on the show.

I knew Brian Kerwin looked familiar! I've always said Laurie Metcalf had the best supporting role of all - Jackie on Rosanne. Whenever a new sitcom starts with a single sibling hanger-on (Still Standing, New Adventures of Old Christine come to mind), my daughter Laura jokes - why do shows have to have an older, single sister or brother hanging around all the time? I just laugh and say LM did that role, to perfection! Now I miss Rosanne.....I missed the Halloween reruns. Rosanne was at it's best for the Halloween episodes, IMHO.

Back to DH - I fully expected Edie to get shot Brent. Especially when she seemed too familiar with Carolyn's husband. I thought for sure a bullet was going to come flying throught that door!

But really, all these desperate housewives interacting wouldn't be the same without Edie. I must admit I enjoy it when Edie feels left out. We'd miss her attitude!

New episode tonight!

Orson's mother arrives, and she'll be trouble. Poor Bree, her mother in law's are the worst!

Gloria: I should have smothered you in your crib when I had the chance!

Orson: That's the mother I remember!

Andrew: Can we call her grandma?

Apparently she's going to be around for several episodes(at least the next 3-4) and slowly spill dark secrets about Orson's past, by accident(I think she has alzheimers). It'll lead to Bree temporarily kicking Orson eventually.

Austin and Julie's relationship will get MUCH tighter, Susan and Ian will come home to find them making out on the couch. This leads to a fight between Susan and Julie with Julie running away with Austin. Karl returns after Susan asks for help.

Art, the man who saved Lynette's life last week, will make her suspicious with activities he does around kids.

Gabrielle goes back to modeling and it doesn't go well.

Edie discovers the engagement ring Mike was planning to give to Susan when he was hit by Orson's car, and is not happy. Mike comes home from the hospital while Detective Ridley(the homicide detective who talked to Mike at the hospital and met with Harvey) will try to get a search warrant for his house related to the murder of Monique.

Susan confronting Edie after Julie/Austin run off together:

Susan: They could have sex!

Edie: Could?... all I know is there's a box of condoms in my dresser, 11 are gone, I can only account for 8

Tom: We will get to see Aunt Nora in heaven
Lynette: Or Wherever...

Why does Debra Monk, who played Gabby's agent, look so familiar? I looked her up on IMDB, but she didn't have a starring or recurring role in any series and no significant role in regard to films. I can't figure out where I've seen her before. Does anyone recognize her as a famous face from a commercial?

#1 show of the week? It was certainly very close(DWTS Results Wednesday 13.8/21). Grey's Anatomy got a 13.5/20 on Thursday.

At 9 p.m., ABC's "Desperate Housewives" grabbed the night's biggest audience with a 13.9/20. The Bears-Giants game on NBC improved to 11.7/17. "Cold Case," 9.1/14, kept CBS in third. "Family Guy," 5.6/8, and "The War at Home," 3.9/6, finished the night for FOX well ahead of The CW's "America's Next Top Model" rerun.

It's running above average from the episodes this season before last week. 8-)

I think Monique hired Mike to look into Orson's past/secret. Orson recognized Mike and tried to run Mike over to silence him about what he may or may not know about Orson.

Hmmm, that's an idea.

So where does Alma tie in? I'm beginning to think she isn't dead. I also don't think Mike killed Monique.

I just hope Lynette wakes up and alerts the police of Art's obsession (we're assuming the pictures belong to him, but they could belong to his sister). If Lynette doesn't speak up, then I may not have a favorite DH for much longer......come on Lynette - tell! She's the mother of 4 children and now a step-daughter!

TV Guide interview with the original Desperate Housewife - Mrs. McCluskey! She's a riot.....kinda up there with Lynette for DH faves, for this fan anyway....I love it when she babysits the Scavo kids and repeats something shocking they said or did to Lynette. LOL

Enjoy!

Kathryn Joosten, Desperate Housewives: Mrs. McCluskey Dishes the Dirt!
by Matt Webb Mitovich

You loved her as Mrs. Landingham (so much so that you mourned her First Secretary's sudden death), and adored her as Old Lady God on Joan of Arcadia. These days, Kathryn Joosten is hanging with the Desperate Housewives (Sundays at 9 pm on ABC), even grabbing some gold for her portrayal of the sometimes-cranky, other times gossipy Karen McCluskey. TVGuide.com chatted with the Emmy-caliber character actress about what's ahead for Wisteria Lane, and how much she misses the Oval Office.

TVGuide.com: I was thinking recently how cool it was to see
Mrs. McCluskey hanging out on the porch, shooting the breeze with the other Housewives....
Kathryn Joosten: Yes, wasn't that fun?! Dishing the dirt a little bit.... [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Did you have any faith, back when you made your first appearance in February 2005, that she might be a keeper?
Joosten: No. It wasn’t until my second episode, I think, that it began to occur to me that this lady had some legs. And I was delighted, of course! What a fun character.

TVGuide.com: And I'm sure the Emmy win was a pleasant surprise, too.
Joosten: Oh, wasn't that a sweet deal.

TVGuide.com: Did you and Felicity Huffman go out to lunch at The Ivy afterward, to celebrate your wins that year?
Joosten: You know, I didn't even know about The Ivy until this year. As a matter of fact, it was some friends of mine coming in from Chicago who said, "Let's go to lunch at The Ivy!" And I said, "OK, what is it?" Subsequently, I pulled a "Hollywood," and I took my agent to lunch there. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: I understand that in this week's Housewives, Mrs. McCluskey uncovers some dirt about one of the neighbors?
Joosten: I don't uncover it so much as "spread the news." Yeah, I'm helpful in alerting the community.

TVGuide.com: Does this have to do with the new guy and what Lynette saw in his basement?
Joosten: Very possibly, yeah!

TVGuide.com: Is this the sort of tattling that might ultimately find her pushing up daisies?
Joosten: [Gasps] Who, Mrs. McCluskey? No! I got a promise from [series creator] Marc [Cherry] that he wouldn't kill me off.

TVGuide.com: Well that's nice. Did you get it in writing?
Joosten: No. [Laughs] Dumb!

TVGuide.com: Which of the Housewives do you think Mrs. McCluskey was like, back in her heyday?
Joosten: Oh, she was probably closer to Lynette than any of them. Lynette's a very practical kind of gal, and I think Karen was, too. She's not so much a nasty lady as somebody who really operates aggressively out of loneliness.

TVGuide.com: And it's not that she hates kids....
Joosten: No, she likes kids. She just doesn't think that anybody else is raising them right! I can attest to that. Ask my own kids how I feel about how they're raising my grandkids. [Laughs] I offer them lots of suggestions.

TVGuide.com: Which of Wisteria Lane's resident hunks do you think Mrs. McCluskey would most like to "borrow a cup of sugar" from?
Joosten: Oh, Carlos! He's the dangerous one, c'mon!

TVGuide.com: Might we ever see her with a gentleman caller — preferably one who hasn't killed a few wives in the past?
Joosten: I don't know that that's going to happen. Strange as it may seem, they don't ask me what I think — though I'm ready to offer all sorts of opinions!

TVGuide.com: Which of your old shows do you miss more, Joan of Arcadia or The West Wing?
Joosten: I miss West Wing. I miss the cast, more specifically.

TVGuide.com: Yeah, I guess on Joan you really only got to work with...
Joosten: Amber [Tamblyn, Joan]. She is a charming, delightful gal, but she's a youngster. On West Wing they were more [like] contemporaries.

TVGuide.com: What was your all-time least-enjoyable acting gig?
Joosten: Oh, golly... there was one, I can't remember the name of it, and I'm not going to name names, but it was with a stand-up comedian who, uh, had a different work ethic than I had. It drove me crazy. I almost took up smoking again on that one!

TVGuide.com: How bad was your habit back in the day?
Joosten: I have to tell you, this is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and I am a lung-cancer survivor of five years! Nothing like a little cancer to get you off the weed.

TVGuide.com: Congratulations on that! Do you have anything else coming up, acting-wise?
Joosten: I'm shooting a commercial for V8....

TVGuide.com: Is it still, "I coulda had a V8"?
Joosten: I think it's now, "You should have had a V8." And I'm going to be guest-starring on [the ABC mid-season comedy] In Case of Emergency, playing a former school-cafeteria lady. I have a friend, Wendy Worthington, who's played about six of them. [Laughs] I'll have to tell her that I get to be one now.

TVGuide.com: You should ask her for tips on how to cinch the hairnet and everything.
Joosten: Absolutely!

All-new episode tonight! 9pm ET/PT on ABC!

Gaby, faced with decisions about what to do with her life, decides to go into business with Vern (her personal shopper) who has opened his own Pageant training company. When they decide to take the next step, Susan finds her relationship with Ian challenged by an unlikely manservant named Rupert. Bree fights with Orson's mother Gloria who lets slip a bit more information about the mystery. Carlos and Tom try to help Mike re-adjust to the neighborhood. Lynette's suspicions of Art continue to grow.

Next week is a Christmas episode and then that'll be it for new episodes til January. Two weeks from tonight, on December 3rd, a repeat of the season premiere will air. It'll be pre-empted on the 10th for a 2-hour EM: HE, with a repeat at 10pm on the 17th(most likely the 2nd episode of the season where Bree/Orson get married), and then a repeat at 9pm on Christmas Eve(most likely the 3rd episode where Bree discovers Andrew is on the streets and Susan/Ian go away to the country). Pre-empted on the 31st for a 2-hour EM: HE followed by Dick Clark's Primetime New Year's Rockin' Eve. New episodes after next Sunday should return January 7th.

LOL at the Tom/Lynette scene at the police.

Speaking of which... WTF is the deal with Mike? I don't get it, and why are they basically stalking him? :?:

Dang! This is a good mystery and I am so very confused.

Where is Alma?

Who killed Monique?

Why was she killed?

If Mike killed her, why were her teeth removed(Orson's a dentist?)

Why did Orson run down Mike?

How does Alma tie back to this?

Why does Orson's mother know so much?

I am confused.

ABC promo will hopefully be up later tonight, but I really liked it. The Christmas theme is finally getting me into the spirit.

Brent! You're confused? Folks we are in a heap of trouble if Brent is confused.......LOL I usually ask you to clear up past murder details for me Brent....you're slipping!

Just kidding, of course.......I just wait for details to be revealed. It hurts my head too much to figure all of this out. I have enough trouble with Lost!
