Yeah, it is kinda blustery. The highest gusts reported were 46 MPH, but somehow it felt like more than that. The Wind Advisory will expire in a couple of hours for North Texas. A FREEZE WARNING is in effect for cities of Abilene, San Angelo, Haskell, Throckmorton, Junction, Del Rio, and Fredricksburg. This doesn't include the immediate North Texas area yet, though we won't be surprised if we see and patchy frost in some areas. Also, a RED FLAG WARNING remains in effect for areas west and south of this region. Again, not in effect for the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, but just because we got plenty of rain the past few weeks, doesn't mean we're out of the drought yet.

From Today through Thanksgiving Day, skies will remain Sunny during the day and clear at night with highs in the 60s - 70s and lows in the 30s and 40s. Looks like there's no rain in sight for North Texas anytime soon.

As I mentioned earlier, it's gonna be a mild Thanksgiving Weekend with highs rising to near 80. The next chance of rain will be forecasted from Saturday Night on, but how big a chance you ask? The answer is in this forecast.

We had quite a foggy morning in the Dallas area...of course the fog didn't last long. Visibilities dropped to 1/4 of a mile at 9:00AM CST and the fog quickly burned off a 1/2 hour later. We'll be expecting Partly Cloudy and mild weather with highs in the 70s and lows near 60.

From Sunday Night to Wednesday, we'll see some isolated showers and thunderstorms with highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s; and on Wednesday Night, we'll see a drastic drop in temperatures as a strong cold front passes through the region. We'll have lows in the 20s and 30s and highs in the 40s from Wednesday Night on.

Tonight's gonna be another foggy event through Sunday, so those in this region who are traveling between 3:00AM and 10:00AM CST, be extra careful as most cars and their lights are difficult to see through the fog in the middle of the night. A Dense Fog Advisory may be issued in the early morning hours, otherwise the fog should dissipate by midday and skies will gradually turn Cloudy to Partly Cloudy skies.

This Wednesday is gonna be REAL COLD! You heard right folks, the mild days are coming to an end by Wednesday as a strong, fast moving arctic front passes through the North Texas region by Wednesday afternoon. Not only bringing tumbling temperatures but also gusty winds and some rain and thunderstorms. Areas north of an Eastland and Gainesville line will reach the freezing mark and they'll see some freezing rain. By Thursday, a wintry mix of light rain, freezing rain, and light sleet will develop north of a Comanche to Athens line, but no travel problems are expected, however a hard freeze is imminent areawide on Friday and Saturday Mornings with lows in the upper 20s. This chain of events could set the stage for some winter storms next month.

The winter weather is over, but the freezing temperatures arent. This morning, the temperature is 24*F at this hour. We are expecting a warm up, but only in the 50s. Highs will be back up in the 60s by Wednesday, but not before another cool front brings the highs back down to the mid 50s on Friday. No Freeze Warnings have been issued, but extra caution is needed.

A couple of days ago, we've set a record low of 22*F, which shattered the record of 23 set back in 1902. This morning, we were nearing the teens with temps at 21*F at 6AM CST. Many suburban and rural areas got temps as low as 18*F. The good news is the cold snap will last until Saturday Night, then highs will be back into the 60s with scattered showers and Thunderstorms through Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for 3/4ths of North Texas until 9:00PM CST. This includes the DFW area. Some fog has been developing within the advisory area, mainly in Gainesville and Mineral Wells, and is expected to spread east overnight. As winds decrease that time, visibilities will be reduced to 1/4 of a mile.

Otherwise, we're looking at a slim to no chance of rain and thunderstorms tonight through Monday Night with lows in the 40s and highs near 70. And from Tuesday through next Sunday, we're looking at mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 60s to near 70 and lows near 40 to the lower 50s.

The Dense Fog Advisory that was issued for North Texas last night has been cancelled. Most of the fog has disipated and pushed east of the area.

The dense fog has returned to North Texas as visibilities been reduced to 1.5 miles at this posting hour. Hopefully, the fog will clear out by mid-day.

Meanwhile, we will expect highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s and 60s through Monday. Then from Monday Night to Thursday, we'll see some thunderstorms with highs dropping into the 40s and 50s and lows in the 30s and 40s.

This Monday through Wednesday night, we got some thunderstorms forecasted with the best chances Monday Night to Wednesday Morning. Not anticipating anything severe at this time, but considering how warm the temps are this week, I wouldn't be at least bit surprise to see an isolated severe thunderstorm or 2.
