Nice, Dennis. Who's the dude standing next to it?

We will hike to the "tree lot" probably around two weeks before. There's lots of tree farms around here, so a nice tree can be gotten for about $20-$25.

Sweet Dennis. I will be buying ours from the Home Depot next weekend. How nice it must be to go out and pick your own tree for FREE. We will spend close to 50 bucks. The only pines around here are scrub sand pines and they are not so pretty.

I was reminding Dave the other night that our old fake tree really needs replacing this year. I don't know how many points fell off it in total, but after 15 years, it's beginning to look a bit scrawny. I'm eyeballing one of those prelit trees with great interest. :cheesy:

Here's mine, the camera really brightened the room up(it's never that bright when I'm in there!). The tree looks much better then.

I put the prelit tree up today. And i'll be darned if there wasn't a couple of strands not working. I changed the fuses, tried the bulbs, tried a different extension cord. I'm going to have to take all the lights off after Christmas and replace them. I can't take just the bad ones off because they are connected to some that are working. Ugh!

The tree is going up this Friday (that is if it's NOT frozen SOLID in the bucket of water outside  temps for the next 2 days are ONLY supposed to hit a HIGH of 29 degrees  ), pics will follow shortly there after! The tree isn't as thin as it looks in the photo...

I walked by it today and the SMELL......is just UNREAL, I've NEVER had a tree smell THIS good before.

This photo does NOT do justice to it.....I put 700 lights on it and at night, it LOOKS fake because it's SO perfect
