My wife put lights up outside. It looks pretty good. My mother or mother in law have not decorated yet.

My house is still in Thanksgiving/Fall mode. I haven't found the energy to start all of that yet! Hosting TG for 23 and having a house guest for 5 days wore me out a little more than I expected. I've been enjoying a lull before starting the decorating blitz. I'll try to start it by Thursday! I have so much that I don't always put it all out. And 20 years ago I barely had anything (no tabletop decorations, roping for bannisters, candle arrangements, etc.). All we had then were lights and ornaments. Ah, the good ole days before I started adding this or that each year. Well, this or that got a little out of control. I have to be good this year and not buy anything decoration wise!

Got the inside done, and still working on the outside. It usually takes us about 2 weekends to get it done, its ALOT of lights. I guess I got it honest. My parents and grandma who are neighbors are almost done with thier outside too, they have just as many if not more. Heres a pic. or 2 of my parents and grandmas house. Wish I had a good one of mine.

Darn, I wish I could find the pic we posted a couple of years back with the guy who decorated his house in orange and blue lights. Was that you? (Kidding...it was a news pic.)

Nobody sees our place except the horses across the road.
What I really wanted to do was put red bows all along their pasture fence.
Instead, I just added some color to the deck:

I got the tree up this evening (it's still bare, though) and I'm working on something creative for my rolling walker and cane.

Battery operated lights for the walker, that's what my mom-in-law did. She had a cane, gave it to her hubby and he wrapped it up in silver foil and put huge sleigh bells on the whole thing, talk about LOUD! Needless to say the cane was useless after that for her.

I'm looking for those battery-operated lights for the same reason! One year I covered my cane with red and white ribbon, and it looked just like a candy cane. :)

Nope, I see no reason to decorate the interior of my house. I'm one of those people that don't celebrate Christmas and I don't have time to decorate.

The exterior of my house is another story. Even if I wanted to decorate it, it would be illegal. This house is a monument, so I'm not allowed to change the exterior, not even temporarily.
