Nothing severe under the Bear Creek Dome this morning - just a little bit of light, albeit BLOWING rain. Days like this make me very happy not to be working. :cheesy:

Any chance of frozen precip? Satelite indicates moisture moving in from the SW and the temps have fallen into the upper 30's across the area.

probably not, but you never know. As long as there are clouds and cold temperatures there is always a chance.

I just HATE cold weather with clear skies. For some reason, it just glares off my contacts and gives me a killer headache. Bring back the clouds!

After all the excitement of our first freeze (minor tho' it turned out to be) I haven't paid much attention for the past few days. I noticed it was much warmer today and now looking forward to the return of more cold air. Too bad my sinuses aren't as impressed with it...

Another gloomy rainy day under the BC Dome this morning. Also make that damp and sweaty. That was some warmup that happened over night! It's off with the sweaters and back to T-shirts again... and yet more sinus activity <reaches for Kleenex box>

I am a yankee, I like to have the weather somewhat unseasonal or chilly so I can get in the Christmas shopping mode... I have to go shopping this weekend, and I know its going to be hard when the temps are in the 70's.... yuck....

Guess I can deal OK for now. I just hope the current hints of cold weather returning for Christmas are on target. I don't even need snow - just cold enough I can get a fire going in the fireplace. Nice little rain shower going on currently under the Dome. Methinks a little nap is in order.

:uarrow: I'm with you on that. Nice & cool - even chilly @ Christmas with a raging fire would be just fine with me. Just keep the real frigid stuff up north where it belongs.

How did your palms fare the past couple of weeks, schlitz? My plumerias are now completely defoliated, but still hanging in there. The weather was warm enough to send my lettuce to bolt, but I'm still holding out hope for the broccoli and cabbage. Such is gardening in SE TX.

I'm Kleenex bound myself along with everyone in my family. Sitting in my deer stand in 27 degree weather for 5 hours Saturday morning didn't do me any favors.

I guess I can deal with a little warm up but cold weather is a must come christmas time. This has been the theme this winter. Warmup...cold front....warm up....a colder cold front.....warm up....and an even colder cold front....and then the arctic fronts came in. I think this is what will happen again. This will be a nice warm up then BAM, big momma comes down and sends us scurrying for a warm fire! Let's hope so! :cheesy:

I'm with you, besides it saves a lot on the heating bill!
Super nasty day here in Baytown, got right at 2 Inches of rain here from Noon - 3pm Now it's so foggy I can't see across the street. It does make the Christmas light look interesting!
