Water? Love it, Hate it

#1 Postby NEWeatherguy » Wed Dec 20, 2006 5:39 pm

How many drink water out of habit? Like if you were left with the choice between a soft drink and water, what would you choose on any given day, and what is your preferred type (bottled or type)?

I try to drink it as much as I can. It does not beat a soft drink's taste, but it is refreshing and seems to provide energy, especially late at night when I need to be up doing something. At this time of year, I need it or my throat begins to feel "hacky" and my skin begins to get drier than it already is. :(

Here's to some H2O!

Ditto.

I do love Diet Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke too, but I've been drinking a lot more water for about a year now.

I prefer my water flavored, either with kool aid powder, tea, and of course sugar. I've never been a person to drink much plain water but I don't drink alot of soft drinks either. In my house, it's usually iced tea.

Water too. I'm not a big fan of soft drinks. They either contain too much sugar (makes you more thirsty) or aspartame/acesulfame-K (not a big fan of chemicals in my drink).

Orange juice is good too. Can't get enough of it.

Water's a definite necessity for me, although I also like to drink sodas and juice.

Same here. Addicted to Pepsi. It's a rare day when you open my fridge and don't see a Pepsi. If we run low, I stash the lone last one, in the vegetable bin (in case anyone should drink it!). Maybe we should consider drinking more water in the New Year? I know I should......I even went out and bought the 8 oz cans of Pepsi, thinking over a week's span, I'd be drinking less. Those 8 oz cans lasted just one purchase. I went back to 12 oz cans!

I drink bottled water at work and my water at home is filtered. I love diet ginger ale or sprite. Gotta have some skim milk too.

I hate water :/ Although lately I`ve been drinking a bit... My kidneys aren't the happiest in the world,so doctor said I should try drink more.. But it tastes like metal to me :/ and bottled water is so expensive.. I can't get myself to spend money on something that comes out of the tap

I drink a gallon or more a day, from the tap.

if your tap water tastes bad, you should look into a filter system of some sort. it's much cheaper than bottled water.

For those who dislike drinking plain water try putting a little lemon and some sweet-n-low or sugar in it. Makes it easier to drink at times.

I drink my water but also give me my caffiene free diet dr pepper. I've been drinking liptons diet green tea w/citrus lately too.

Lemon does wonders for bad-tasting water in a pinch! :)

So do the Brita water filter pitchers - much cheaper than buying the bottled water.

Mama, I really like the caffeine-free diet Dr. Pepper. They don't sell it up here and I have to stock up when I go to visit my daughter in Roanoke, Virginia or when she comes here she brings lots. Can't understand why it's not sold up North.

I enjoy Mr. Pibb but they do not sell it here anymore. I have to stock up when I go to my sisters in Roswell, GA.
