Wow!! Am I out of the loop!!!! We now have a smoking cessation clinic at Storm2k!!!!

WAY TO GO KARAN AND ED!!!!!!

Karan!!! Don't fool yourself!!! GET RID OF THAT PACK!!!!! THE TEMPTATION IS TOO GREAT, NO MATTER HOW STRONG YOU ARE!!!! BTDT and now nosmoker for 22 years!!! I have 3 smokers in my family and they will not let me near a cig or a butt for that "just one puff" because they know how fast the success can go to sh*t!

NEVER EVER DRINK WITH FRIENDS WHO ARE SMOKING until you are over the "I wants"!!! Drinking and cigarettes go together like sex and marraige(well a good marraige)!!

I am going to send both of you my phone no. in case you need to talk to someone.

Josh - I need to lose some unwanted extra pounds too. With the success of Karan, Bron and Ed - won't it be great to get the same support if and when we decided to lose this extra weight??

Now I just have to convince myself to do it.

OK, THE STORM2K WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC IS OFFICIALLY OPEN!!!

I have been keeping quiet about losing weight, but if I continue with the late success I have had I am going to have to change my avatar!! I don't know how much I have lost since I did not weigh when I started(probably 20-30 lbs.), but I need a new belt and I just bought this one 6 weeks ago!! I've lost at least 2" in the waist and it is noticeable in my face and elsewhere where I don't usually carry much body fat anyway.

My starting weight was "officially" 320 lbs. My goal is 190 lbs!!! I be a stud then!!!  :o

My secret? No sugars, including fruit to start, no carbs, and lots of protein.

Good Luck all!!

BTW, ticka whether you like it or not you are on the roll!!! :D

I was 307 at my max. I was embarrassed about it at the time but now I talk about it openly. I have lost 8 waist sizes and 2 shirt sizes (48 to 40 and 2XL to just Large now. :D )

Quick Edit ... I now weigh 231 lbs. :D

I'm ashamed, I haven't quite nor do I have the desire to right at the moment, I know, I know......I should BUT!

DAVE......way to go Buddy! I lost a total of 43 lbs over the last few months myself (thanks again Karan for that little package in the mail a few months ago), I too am doing the ALL protien, no carbs diet, not quite the Atkins but close.

Josh, giving up soda IS hard, that's another downfall of mine, I LOVE Pepsi BUT.........that's another reason for my weight loss, NO MO' Sodas!!!

Josh I too am a Coca Cola lover!! I am now drinking as much water as I can everyday(to keep the system flushed out) and only drink diet caffiene free coke now. Caffiene is one of the bad boys in making people feel hungry so it is best to stay away from it.

You guys are right. Caffeine is very addictive. And it's in many drinks besides colas. I'm not ready to tackle that one yet. I've been known to put a pinch of coffee grounds between my cheek and gum, like tobacco. But I haven't tried smoking them yet.

Well, one more day under my belt. I finally told my daughters that I had quit. They were sooooooo happy, I thought they were going to come thru the phone.

Speaking of coffee, I've never been a big coffee, tea or cola drinker. But, this week I have stopped for my special coffee every morning. It really helps. Now, I need to find something to take my mind off smoking on the way home from work.

You know what amazes me. I smell like soap!!!! I never realized how good I smell. lol - or maybe I just smelled like an old cigarette!!!! I'm liken it either way.

Hey Steve, good job with the diet. Moderation in all that we do. What wonderful words - I wish I could put them into action!!!!! I've been really hungry since I'm not smoking. I'll try the turkey and salad. Now is there gravy on the turkey (stuffing too????) Ok, Ok

Joshua, I only drink caffeine free, diet soda, or "white pop" like sprite or diet 7up. I try to decaffeinate myself mainly cause any caffeine in my body after 12 noon can keep me AWAKE lonnnnnng past my bedtime - Like MOST of the night to be exact~~~~~ Good luck my friend.

David, how great you're doing. You devil you!!!!! You didn't even tell anyone. And I was tempting you with all those KK's. Sorry.

Ed, how are you doing today? Believe it or not all of my ashtrays are clean and I'm about to put them away. Now I've had ashtrays in my house for 40 years so I really need to thank you ALOT!!!!

Take care all

Karan

CONGRATULATIONS KARAN!!!!! You are moving forward - telling your family was a good thing to do - now hopefully you will have their support!

Soda's are my downfall here - instead of coffee I usually drink one soda in the morning. Like all bad habits - you just have to do it.

Ed, Josh, Steve and David - keep up the attitude and ya'll have my support here.

Karan, if I was your daughter, I probably would have came through the phone too!!!! Doesn't soap smell good! See what your missing when you light up a cig. Anyways, glad to see you have another day under your belt

Josh, VB, and everyone else. Great job! Dieting is hard and so is putting down your favorite soda.

Keep up the great work :D
