Been trying to upload some radar shots but imageshack is on crack at the moment. Needless to say, Metro Houston is about to get hammered pretty good. I'd especially be concerned with large hail and get your vehicles under cover.

I wish I had my camera. Looking to the south from the Galleria area is incredible. This high-based storm in something else. Looks like it has a hail shaft too.

That was an impressive shelf could. I am up 26 floors downtown and had a view toward the Galleria. Talk about torrential rain for a few minutes.

And now for the miracle: THE DOME FAILS! Very dark and rainy with a bit of thunder to top it off under the BC Dome right now. Goes nice with all the cooking I'm doing today - namely, Sunny's cheesecake for Dave's birthday.

Hi Annular! I think I responded a couple days ago and you probably missed it when we had to start a new thread. The Bear Creek Dome refers to the near-permanent cap over my little of West Houston that turns away 90% of the weather in our area. My hubby Dave swears it's aliens!

I'm having the same troubles Yankee - since we got booted to the Winter Forum with our first good cold spell, I'm never sure which forum to go to these days.

Is there a temp limit at which we need to head to Winter Weather? What's the criteria anyway?

Looks to be a stormy, wet, and windy 24 hours ahead of us. However its a very beautiful sunny morning. Checking the Corpus and Brownsville radars I can see rain is on the way. Impressive Supercell off the coast E of Brownsville duming 4" per hour rainfall.
