subtropical storm in early november-CPAC

going through achives and wikipedia, there is a subtropical storm in late october and early november 900 miles west of oregon. does anyone know anything about it?

Jeff Masters called it Thingamabobbercane. :lol:

Based on the image, it appears to be either a subtropical or tropical storm.

Check up on Hurricane Iwa in November 1982. The ET remnants slammed northern and central CA good.

Subtropcial? Looked more like a hurricane, but I guest for the area it formed in. It was very lucky to be upgraded.

Neither RSMCs Honolulu or Miami upgraded it at the time or have done since. The last post in the main thread shows that RSMC Miami said it was not over warm enough waters to be classified as subtropical/tropical.
