Do you need some noise to fall asleep with?

#1 Postby NEWeatherguy » Tue Dec 26, 2006 11:21 pm

I do. I use the BBC World Service; it is on all night (and I guess all day) through my local public radio station. Of course, there are days when school is in session I fall asleep on the couch watching TV.

It is just that it can be too quiet to sleep.

I always go to bed with my radio on...have done that for several years...would only have one radio in my room, but instead have multiple because you can never have to many back-up radios and the fact that you cant have the radio play and the alarm set at the same time on my alarm clock...

i'm used to my husbands sleep machine (for his snoring). It's got a nice steady hum. It's soothing to me.

When I was little I could only sleep with the radio on. Now I am really sensitive to noises when I sleep. I sometimes even wear ear plugs!

It's not weird. But, I don't need noises...in fact, quite the opposite, it has to be extremely quiet and I gotta be real calm...otherwise, sleep is a no-go.
