That's the Southern Hemisphere, though. It's supposed to be warm on Christmas (although I would probably explode if we got a 95-degree Christmas).
The average high here on Christmas is 36, and the record high only 59.

hey j, ok yes i think the record for St Pete/Clearwater was broken..old record 81F in 1971, ...
these are some other sites that came close:-
DEC 31/06
Sarasota/Bradenton FL 86F (record is 87F in 1973)
Punta Gorda FL 85F
Naples FL 84F (record is 87F in 1990)
Ft Myers FL 84F (record is 87F in 1996)
Jacksonville FL 81F (record is 82F in 1988)
So it looks like Sarasota is the hot spot in Florida today.
