1. Fidel Castro dies.
2. Saddam will be hanged (a foregone conclusion now).
3. A busy spring severe weather season.
4. Indianapolis Colts will win the Super Bowl.
5. Terrorist attack -- U.S. international interest and/or domestic.
6. Earthquake--possibly major--in California.
7. A majority of the troops in Iraq will be sent home.
8. A "normal" hurricane season. (In other words, not an active 2005, but not a slow 2006).
9. Crippling snowstorm (basically the northeast will be closed) either later this winter or early next winter.
10. I will remain single with absolute no prospects remotely possible..

Mine are always a little more vague but here we go:

1. There will be a shocker in the race for the White House. What do I mean by that? By the end of next year, there will likely be a candidate from both parties surging and will challenge (Obama,Clinton on the dem side and McCain,Guiliani on the rep side) them.

2. A natural disaster will make a lot of headlines even though it will not be on the coasts. It will be found somewhere in Mid-America.

3. Laura Ingraham will launch a show on FOX News.

4. The US terror threat level will rise to orange as new information surfaces about a plot to harm a major US landmark.

5. Gas Prices will hit $3.00 on average across America as tensions build in Iran.

6. The status of Fidel Castro's health will hang in the balance as reports surface that he has died. No confirmation will be able to be made for days as the world holds its collective breath.

7. A major movie star will tie the knot early in the year only to divorce and be remarried by year's end.

8. The New Orleans Saints will win the Super Bowl.

9. The St. Louis Cardinals will make a run at a repeat World Series crown, but will fall just short.

10. A famous celebrity will shock the world by uttering the words none of their fans expected to hear: "I'm gay!"

1. A powerful coastal storm will rake the Carolinas, the Delmarva, and New England in March. Damage will rival that of Hurricane Floyd.

2. For probably the first time in US history a person who killed while driving drunk will be sentenced to death. This will happen in a southern state.

3. Parts of the southeast US will suffer a massive tornado outbreak in January or February.

4. Dick Cheney will step down to seek treatment for alcoholism.

5. The tropics will not be as kind to the US in 2007 as they were in 2006. Although we wont see anything like Katrina and Rita Florida will be criss crossed by at least 2 systems and at least one hurricane will affect the mid atlantic and carolinas, causing moderate damage. The gulf coast will largely be spared although a small weak TS will hit the central gulf coast; it will be little more than a long lasting afternoon thunderstorm.

6. Fidel Castro will die. (We have heard this before havent we?)

7. The US military will began pulling out of Iraq.

8. A tsunami scare for the east coast after an undersea earthquake in the far eastern atlantic. Only small tsunamis occur however and there is little damage.

More to follow..

From this side of the pond:

1. Gordon Brown will be British Prime Minister by the end of the year

2. Parts of the UK will get a very late winter

3. Britain will be completly out of Iraq by the end of the year

4. The British government will be much more independent on international affairs once again.

5. Britain will at some point flirt with the idea of having the Euro as it currency

6. We'll get a load more of US imports on televsion...at least 2 will be worth watching, (Curb Your Enthusiasm was the one of 2006 in my view, Joey was the stinker).

7. The railway network in Britain will change as different franchises merge, not sure for the better or for the worse.

8. This summer will be a disappointment, (can't see us getting 2 hot summers in a row!)

9. More road charges will be intorduced throughout the UK.

10. I will finally have a reliable car!
