My christmas story

#1 Postby JonathanBelles » Wed Dec 27, 2006 11:16 am

my christmas was not the best ever. At around noon on christmas day i lost all power. We had heavy rain the morning before, which may have been the cause. We had the meal done, thankfully. by the end of the night we regaine everything except cable, internet, and phones. They came out yesturday and said the box wasnt putting enough power out and that he couldnt do it himself. This morning at the crack of dawn he was out there working on it and i just regained full power at 10:30.
All was not lost though. on Christmas I had family, friends and food. I did homework to pass the time, never really board.

I did miss however, a 7.1 eathquake, Fords death, and the rest of worlds news, but i look at it like this: 60 years ago i wouldnt have know the difference.

I had a relatively good x-mas and look to throw a party on New years.

You're so right. Sixty years ago, everyone would have been standing around the piano after dinner singing christmas carols by candlelight!!! No TV - no problem. No phones - no problem. They wouldn't have heard of internet or cable.

The love of family and friends - that's Christmas.
PS - glad you got your homework done!!
