Not that often you will see one tornado watch that encompasses this many counties. Looks to be a bumpy afternoon....

So far just have threatening, dark skies and a few paltry drops of rain... the Dome holds thus far! I agree with EWG too: it's one of those days that just "feels" like big things brewing up for later on. Plugging in the laptop so it's fully charged.

Just great. My family and I are taking off around 4:30 for the panhandle to get into some snow. We picked a good day to get on the road in a 31 ft. motorhome!!!

Hey Lisa - you made it back from that mall yet in one piece? I made the mistake of going to Wally World a couple days ago, (forgetting about all the illegals trying to return their gifts for cash), got in a lane run by a girl name "Dymonic" and doing her best to live up to her name, and by the time I got home, felt like I'd run the gauntlet through a prison movie set. Never again!

Good idea.

hmmm... If I lose electricity, would I still have Roadrunner? The modem wouldn't work without electricity, but then what good is my laptop? I hadn't thought of that before...just assumed I'd have internet with my laptop if the power went out. (I've only had the laptop a few months)

That is why I am going to get my 5 miler done on the treadmill at the gym. I definitely do not want to get caught outside after 3 pm under these fast moving storms.

check out these non-thunderstorm winds at IAH (as of 1pm):

SE 28 G 39 MPH

Pretty impressive.

I am surprised there is not a wind advisory.

Seen that, along with a warning for Crawford. Not sure if Bush is still at the ranch...

You have access to the GR images Jason?

If Bush is still at the ranch, it should be...

Still have not confirmed if he is there, or in Washington.

Scott, he is in Crawford. I found an article quoting something he said about Saddam today, and it was from his ranch.

It's mostly to avoid blowing up my computer with a power surge. Even with the expensive so-called surge protecter, we lost a pc years ago to a lightning strike as well as our best TV. Since we have wireless now, I can turn off the server and unplug it and still use the modem, etc. with the laptop.

Edit: Ok. Thanks, Jen.
