90W Invest in WPAC

Possibly the last northern hemisphere invest of 2006 has formed in the South China Sea:

Convection looks healthy, but the shear maps at CIMSS show some modest (but decreasing) shear in the area due to a trough. However, the air is quite moist:

Regardless of whether or not this develops, this isn't a threat to the Philippines, who have had enough tropical cyclones this year.

This was briefly a 1008hPa LPA in the MetArea bulletin but it is gone now.
