I have a friend who sold a jar of dirt from Fenway Park. He used a Gerber baby food bottle, made his own label, and wrote it up big saying that quite possible, Ted Williams had walked on this dirt. It sold for $25.
I actually bid on it to help get the price up, and ended up outbidding the guy who really wanted it. Whoops - One bid too many.(I know..I know -- against E Bay rules). My friend ended up giving it to me for my trouble.

So J, do you have it enshrined in a place of honor?

Yes - It is amongst my collection Red Sox memorabilia, and is always good to break out and pass around to bewildered guests.

Does your room look like anything like Ben Wrightman's in Fever Pitch?j wrote:vbhoutex wrote:j wrote:I have a friend who sold a jar of dirt from Fenway Park. C'mon now..that guy is a lune. However, I do have a few noteworthy items. My closet is full of jerseys and misc specialty shirts ranging from the infamous "Yankees S**k" Roger Clemens 21 shirt, to ""Hey New York, Whose your Daddy now?" I have the Red Sox Wall Clock, Bottle opener (that plays a nifty little radio broadcast of a homerun when you flip the bottle cap), Ice bucket, Pajamas, several caps, jackets, Curt Schilling replica bloody socks, A Yankees su*k watch, golf balls with logos, a laser engraved bat from 2004, framed pictures, shot glasses, boxers, ticket stubs, big ole Red Sox blanket, Red Sox Master Card, Red Sox wind chime, ...
there may be more but I can't remember them all.
I do not have bed sheets like Ben -- he was a crazy man!
