Thanks everyone. They still don't know what is causing the fever. It was down for part of the day but had come back this evening. They performed some tests today... I am not sure exactly what. I didn't have time to ask the nurse and my grandfather really didn't elaborate. The most I got out of him was an EKG.

I will be heading back in the morning and hope to catch the doctor.

My grandfather has had little change today. I waited on the doctor to arrive and he said that they are giving him the highest powered antibiotics they have and that they still can't find the source of the infection. He sleeps a lot and he still runs a fever from about 4pm to 8 am, although it did not get as high last night (102).

Thanks for your prayers everyone. I am wearing out... I have been running back and forth. I am staying strong though. My faith in the Lord is pulling me through.

Thanks everyone. Well, this is starting out to be a pretty crappy new year. I am at home this morning...just got out of bed for the first time today. I have been "sick" since yesterday evening. I won't go into detail for you with weak stomachs, but I have the whole shebang.

My mom took the day off to stay with my grandfather and grandma at the hospital. I hope to get a call from them letting me know what is up and when I do I will share the news. I do know that his fever came back up last night and he will be in the hospital several more days. They still have not found the source of the infection but have narrowed their search.

Garrett you need to get better and stay home. When you are better then you can visit your grandpa. You are going to have to build back your strength...all the stress and this wicked flu season are the likely culprit. Prayers still on the way for your Grandpa and You. (((HUGS)))

I had a phone call from Garrett at 9:05 Central and the news is NOT GOOD!

He had to rush his grandpa to the ER last night (his grandpa had been allowed to return home Friday). Well he got worse last night and apparently his blood pressure bottom number dropped down to 39...which obviously is dangerously low. He is now in ICU at a Springfield, MO hospital. Garrett won't be around until the crisis passes so I will be passing along information as I get it from him. Mount up prayer warriors!

Nothing since that call at 10:05 Cincinnati time. I told him I'd relay any information I got from him.
