Poor Girl - The Price of Fame

Evangeline Lilly has hinted she will quit ‘Lost’ unless the show’s fans stop hassling her, according to the U.K.’s Life Style Extra.

The actress is growing weary of the constant attention she receives from followers of the program and admits she sometimes considers walking away from her role as sexy fugitive Kate in the hit series.

Lilly, who is dating her ‘Lost’ co-star Dominic Monaghan, said: “I am an incredibly private person, and it’s so exhausting to me that everywhere I go people know me or think they know me. If I could act and make the income I make and be anonymous, I would never want to leave the job.”

This is not the first time Lilly has complained about her fame.

She previously admitted she would like to go on holiday to a remote island where no one would recognise her because she is so sick of being hounded by fans and the media wherever she goes.

She said: “I want to go somewhere like Mongolia or Timbuktu. Someplace where they don’t watch ‘Lost’!”

If she's an "incredibly private" person, why did she become an actress and then accept a role on a popular Primetime TV show? :?:

Sorry about the Sunday move post. I was mistaken. I don't know where I heard that but I do remember hearing it somewhere. Thanks for correcting me.

Yeah really. It's like Britney asking for privacy and then she poses nude on a magazine cover. A celeb asking for privacy is asking for more attention, IMHO. The best thing she could have done was keep quiet and wait for the excitement to die down (next summer, we have 16 weeks to get thru and what fun it will be).

Cancelling my standing order for her flowers tomorrow. LOL Just kidding....

Tstormwatcher - no apologies needed. I wasn't upset with you, I worried it might be true and then I'd be upset at the network/writers for yet another reason (jerking Lost and Lost fans around).

I had actually gotten LOST and Battlestar Galactica mixed up. Battlestar is what is moving to Sundays.

There was a 30-second promo during Grey's Anatomy last night talking about it's return and new timeslot.

Today is ABC's turn at the Winter Press Tour, and one tidbit that has come out is that next season Lost may air like 24... in that it would run from January-May repeat free with NO NEW EPISODES September-December. This is just an idea, but I seriously doubt Lost would go back to the way it was in Season 1 and 2, with 24 episodes spread out over 36 weeks.

I think this is the way the producers originally wanted this season. The scheduling of this season was ABC's idea. I can wait until January. No problem. :) I might be in rehab for withdrawal symptoms b/c of both Lost and 24 starting January. But again, no problem. :cheesy:

And I'll be in rehab with ya. LOL

I've been in a funk lately and I've decided, it's because I'm lost without Lost. I know, that sounds so lame. But in a way, in a Star Wars kinda fan way, it's true! So are we called Losties? Just wondering....

It is funny. At our house, we call Lost, Coo Coo Island. :)

Coo Coo Island - I like that!

My husband and I were out one night, season 2 of Lost, having drinks. The friend is into other shows and asked us if we watched them. After we discussed these shows, my husband said - SHE's into that show called Lost. Our friend had a hard time with the concept - he said, wait a minute, that's that show about an island in the Pacific, with polar bears on it?

Non-Lost fans seem to focus on the polar bear thing.

And we hardly ever hear about the darn things anymore!!! LOL

That's what I've noticed - if you say you watch Lost to a non-believer, watch out. You're about to hear a lecture.....

Good. X-files did go on too long. Nice to see a TV show end when it should and not drag it on forever. Maybe now the producers and writers will put together a timeline to answer some of these unanswered questions. . .

This is not really anything new. LOL. ABC has always said they never expected the show to go longer than about 5 seasons. Of course, that assumes they start answering some of those unanswered questions.

Lost scoop (might contain spoilers):

Spoiler Alert!

http://www.tvguide.com/News-Views/Colum ... fault.aspx

TV Guide
Ask Ausiello column:

-

-

-

-

-

-

Question: Can you tell me something new about Lost? Anything big or small would be great!— Joshua
Ausiello: Would you settle for ginormous?! After Lost's press-tour session on Sunday, Carlton Cuse revealed to me exclusively that he and Damon Lindelof are parting with tradition and not code-naming this season's top-secret finale scene after a Jewish bread product. (To recap, Walt's kidnapping in the Season 1 finale was known as "The Bagel," Season 2's introduction of Penny was known as "The Challah" and this season's climactic game-changer was slated to be called "The Matzo.") "We're actually not calling it 'The Matzo,'" Cuse said. "We're calling it 'The Snake in the Mailbox.' We were just joking about how scary that would be if you came home and you stuck your hand in the mailbox and there was a snake in there. So we thought, 'Well, that's actually a good metaphor for the surprise of our Season 3 ending.'" And this, my friends, is where things get really spoilery. [Spoiler alert] When I asked Cuse if he could drop any hints about "The Snake in the Mailbox," he offered up this fraktastic piece of prattle: "I think Penny and Desmond's relationship will become something that will be a part of the season finale."

Question: Could you give us some info 'bout the future Skate on Lost?— Jeannette
Ausiello: As I strongly hinted at a few weeks ago, Kate's Jack/Sawyer dilemma is far from resolved — despite what happened in that cage last fall. "It would be a bad assumption to assume [the triangle] was over," warns Carlton Cuse. "For that moment in time, Sawyer was the right choice. But that's not the end of it, but any means whatsoever."

Question: Will the Jack-Juliet relationship develop into something more than just captor-hostage story line?— Natalie
Ausiello: Most definitely, says Cuse. "The relationship and the chemistry between these two characters is something we're really interested in as writers. Juliet is a really intriguing character. It's not entirely clear how good she is or how bad she is. What are her underlying motives? What is her history on the island? And I think her relationship with Matthew is something that is going to be really compelling as we run into the later part of the season."
