Without my having to visit the link, can you tell me the significance of the slit throat? Was it done during autopsy, or in conjunction with the hanging? Image

Probably the rope and jolt.. He was also bruised on the face so it could have been some extra abuse after death. Clearly the hanging crowd hated him.

I didn't find it graphic, creepy or anything. I've seen worse on CSI. I wonder if it wasn't part of the preparation for the body for burial. Drain the blood to make the body more appealing to family members. Just a thought.
