Thats some scary stuff there. Glad I don't have to deal with that here.
I guess that was just some guy taping out the window of his apt.? Looks like no one got hurt that day thankfully.

Tstormwather - that video is incredible and if it's not the best reason in the world to stay home or put, when an ice storm hits, I don't know what is. After awhile you felt like you watching toy cars but then it's real and all those people standing nearby! They're nuts I tell ya.

If I'm ever in that situation, I'm steering, if possible, into someone's yard. Forget the pavement. Even if you manage to stop your car along a curb, it's not safe to remain inside b/c you'll likely get hit like this video shows.

I kept saying OMG, over and over! Glad to see no one was hurt.

Where was it from?

Oh man that reminds me of the 93 ice storms we had out here in January, I saw all kinds of demolition derby driving, sheesh! Even trying to walk from the porch to the car, forgot it!

What's up with the first guy? He hit the telephone pole and then you hear him accelerate and see the spun-out debris from his tires. He only made matters worse. If he'd stopped at the pole, he would have only made half as much of a mess as he did.

I'm not sure, but it looks like the road may have been on a hill, and the guy was trying to stop from rolling down or something. Obviously, slippery roads on a sloping surface make for some real trouble.

Thanks all - must have missed that Portland mention. I was distracted by all the crazy driving!

When the roads are not even THAT bad, I call the office to inform them that
Miss Annette WON'T be arriving to work! Yikes!
