I think that by April-May timeframe we will have a good idea on how all the factors will be.For now I coincide with Andrew92 on the name.

Gabrelle,the 7th named storm of the season...If the season is normal,she would be born sometime in mid to late August,maybe?..Sounds like a prime time for a bad storm!!

Here's the past for these storms. Sometimes history repeats itself. Will it in 2007?

Andrea- Replacement for Allison, and the feminine form of Andrew - two bad storms. Alicia 83, Allison 89, and Allison 01 all affected Texas as billion dollar storms, and Allison 95 was another Gulf Coast storm.
Barry- Never been a bad storm. 2 deaths in Mexico in 83, fish in 89, brought rain to Canada in 95, and hit Florida as a near hurricane in 01.
Chantal- 70 to 80 mph storm every time. First and third times fishes, second time moderate damage in Texas, last time a fighter but only did little damage in Mexico and Belize.
Dean- Affected land every time. 83 hit Virginia, 89 hit Carib and hard right turn to hit Bermuda, 95 brought heavy rain to south-central United States, and 01 brought heavy rain to PR before redeveloping pretty far north.
Erin- Two times a fish (89 and 01), but in 95 caused hundreds of millions in damage to Florida
Felix- Like Erin, two times a fish. In 95 caused severe beach erosion and 8 deaths to NE US, predicted to make landfall as well
Gabrielle- Damage worse each time. 89 storm killed several swimmers while remaining offshore, 95 caused severe flooding in Mexico, and 01 caused hundreds of millions in damage in Florida
Humberto- Replacement for Hugo 89 (billion dollar SC storm), though fish storms both times since being used
Ingrid- New name. Used once in Northern Hemisphere (1946 WPAC), 3 times in Southern Hemisphere. Hit northern Australia as a Category 4 cyclone, causing heavy damage.
Jerry- Moderate damage each time. 89 caused $100 million in damage to Texas, 95 caused severe flooding throughout SE US, and 01 caused damage to East Caribbean islands.
Karen- 95 fish, 01 caused moderate damage to Bermuda before hitting Canada
Lorenzo- Replacement for Luis, fish in 01
Melissa- New name, replacement for Michelle which was a replacement for Marilyn. Worldwide, used once in 1994 as a very large supertyphoon
Noel- Both times a hurricane. 95 a fish, 01 remnants affected Canada
Olga- Late forming almost fish storm that produced strong waves to Bermuda, Florida, and Bahamas. Replacement for Opal.
Pablo- Fish in 95.
Rebekah- Replacement for Roxanne which hit Mexico.
Sebastien- Rainfall to northeast Carib in 95
Tanya- Strong winds to Azores, at the time the furthest in the alphabet
Van- Never used worldwide
Wendy- Used 9 times in WPAC

We do this every year since storm2k was founded. It is all in good fun. You do not need forecasting one to have fun this far out.
