LOL, Karan, whaaaaahhhh???

Washing my hands has led to dermatitis from the soap - ouch!
I lotion as much as I can, but, I still have to wash between patients
at the office, so, goodbye lotion!

I'm taking meds for sinusitis and bronchitis... this 3-days cold, 4-days warm
pattern is killing me! Can we SNOW or go to early spring, puh-leze? My daffodils
are coming up, and, the bradford pear (pardon - HALF a bradford pear tree)
is budding. I'm much better than I was, a few days ago, thanks to modern
medicine!

Congrats to you, poppysky! You have a beautiful bunch of folks, you know!

Congrats to our pojo, too - you GO, girl!

one more TRUE academic day.... (Friday)... we have MLK day off and Tuesday morning is the moment of truth... testing day! Wednesday is graduation. :) :D :D :)

I'm right in the middle of the brewing ice storm... oh yea! Friday night into all day Saturday. This will be quite interesting... on Sunday I have to bring my best friend back to DFW airport to fly home to Wisconsin... (she's been visiting me this week).... it will be an interesting ride to say the least. Yes, I will be VERY careful driving around Altus, OK this weekend.

I PASSED my Basic Loadmaster Class.... Graduation is tomorrow and then head back down to Keesler. It was a fun class... I can't for flight school (That's in a few short weeks!)

Throughout the Ice Storm we received 1/4" of ice. One thing I found out... texas and oklahoma do not believe in putting salt down on icy roads... its gravel and ONLY on corners and overpasses. (they really thought that out)

*pulls up a chair*

Okay, NOW it's cold! Especially living in a house built up off the ground, with freezing cold air circulating all around...and only space heaters to warm up the place. And let me tell ya -- after being at work 12 hours and not having those heaters on, this place is cold on the INSIDE as well as the outside.

Brrrr...could someone crank up the stove a bit more? Thanks! :)

I'm froze cold too. It was 18 here this morning and worse, I wound up standing outside waiting over an hour for a bus JUST to get to Covington and have to wait almost another hour to get to Northern KY University. The reason? Two malfunctioning wheelchair lifts! First one was the 9:20am bus from Florence to Covington. That forced me to wait another 30 minutes for the 9:50. Got to Covington at 10:30 and 9 minutes later...the second malfunction. That caused another wait of nearly one hour and I didn't get here until 11:50am...3 hours and 20 minutes after my departure from home (including a 9am McD's stop).

I don't know how I did it. I had gloves and a hat but my face froze because I don't have protection for it.

Hello everyone.

Karan you got my attention when you said SEX.

Congratualtions to Pojo and Steve.

Hello's to Donna, Annette, Mary, Dennis, Shawn, Rock (Jeremy, isn't it?), angelwing (I don't know your name) and everyone else.

I brought an armload of logs for the stove.

We're on a baby watch. My stepdaughter is now officially due so she could go any day now.

After record highs the first 2 1/2 weeks of January, we're back to normal which feels c-c-c-cold. Highs in the low 30's and lows in the high teens. I shouldn't complain though because it could be -15 here today.

We had a decent christmas. Everything's paid for and nothing is broken. Glad it's over. Then we threw a baby shower and I have a son's birthday coming up. This is all too much excitement for me.

I'll go get some munchies.........

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Be careful driving out there, especially you all who have been or will be "on ice," which seems like half the country. Our AFD out of Paducah says pretty much, E: all of the above. Rain, snow, sleet, frz rain. In that order. :froze:

I'm in my grubbies today taking a break from painting the bathroom, so I'm not responsible for any content of my posts due to latex fumes. Last coat should be dry (dang it), so I better get back to work.

Have a great weekend!

Cincinnati might even get in on the winter wx action. It's about time! Snow I'll take, anyday, but freezing rain is another thing. Local Mets are saying keep checking forecasts, b/c the line between freezing rain and all snow is so close to us (north of Cincy). I'll be checking, that's for sure. And I'm sure grocery stores will be mobbed tomorrow (Cincinnatians way of handing preperations when they hear the word SNOW!).

Nice to see you again Donna!

Wow, Ed, do keep us posted on that new arrival...(let me say it loudly)....

GRANDPA!!!! (*high-five, buddy!) Babies are soooo cool!

Karan, I'm praying that your headache disappears! Do you take anything
for them?

Hey, Donna! Nashville and south looks to be an all-rain event, according to
the local stations, TWC, and NWS. We MIGHT see some flurries....LOL, once
again, our joke around here - "Get out your magnifying glass!" :cheesy:

Pojo, you take it easy on the winter roads, now, eh?

LOL, Miss Mary, I have always said that Channel 4 out of Nashville
has a thing going on with Kroger! "Frozen precip - Stock UP NOW!"

I get headaches too. Maybe they'll go away when my new bifocals come in.

when i have headaches i take childrens motrin. I dont know why its called childrens because i take a minimal amount and it works just fine. My mother takes it as well. IT tastes better than all the rest of the medicine. It burns my headaches in just a half an hour to an hour.

Oh, yeah, Ed - you'll be "Grandpa, Phooey" when you see that sweet
baby! You won't even need your bifocals to see that 'lil package of
love!

(*Annette elbows Ed....) You GO, grandpa - with or without your
bifocals!

Dear Mr. G. Phooey,

Has the package arrived yet? And I don't mean your bifocals. :D
