Has anyone heard of this?
There's a device that emits a extremely annoying high pitch sound that apparently adults can't hear, only teenagers. The device was first used by the Wyvern Theatre in an attempt to stop groups of up to 100 youngsters from gathering around Theatre Square. It has proven that the longer someone is exposed to the sound, the more annoying it becomes.I have never heard of such a thing and never knew that adults aren't capable of hearing it.Very interesting stuff, and funny too.

Yeah, its called the mosquito ring sometimes. I just heard of it not long ago myself. I can hear it about 5% of the time. I had my kids come listen and they can hear it clear as a bell. Something about the older you get the less amout of high frequency range we can hear. Very interesting. I guess kids can use thier phones in school without getting busted as much.

I'm 16...yet on the first two links I heard nothing...on that last link there was a slight buzz...but I would never be able to use it for anything...
EDIT: All it sounds like to me is that buzz you here when you turn on an old computer screen or tv and its still warming up...otherwise nothing...
