Looks like the steady rain will be with us throughout the night...

I bet most areas are looking at 1-2"+ amounts by daybreak tomorrow.

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
858 PM CST WED JAN 24 2007

.DISCUSSION...
ALMOST ALL THE LIGHT RAIN HAS MOVED OUT OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS. IF ANYTHING
FALLS IN THE NEXT COUPLE HOURS...IT WILL LIKELY ONLY BE VERY LIGHT SPRINKLES.
HAVE GONE AHEAD AND REMOVED ALL POPS FROM THE ZONES AND COASTAL WATERS
FOR TONIGHT AS A DRIER AIRMASS FILTERS IN FROM THE NORTH. SATELLITE
PICTURES SHOW CLOUDS SLOWLY THINNING OUT. GRADUAL CLEARING WORDING IN
THE PREVIOUS ZONE PACKAGE FOR TONIGHT STILL LOOKS GOOD.

BARRING ANY UNFORESEEN ASTRONOMICAL CATASTROPHE OVERNIGHT...WE WILL
SEE THE SUN AGAIN TOMORROW!

Well let's hope there are no astronomical catastrophes overnight! I am ready for some sunshine! :layout:

In terms of averages/normals, we have bottomed-out and are now on the upswing towards spring.

Yesterday our average high rose for the first time from 62F to 63F.

Tomorrow the average low rises for the first time from 41F to 42F.

Let the march to spring begin!!! :sun:
