I'm home from the hospital, 6 days later. Yes I did go to the hospital late Saturday afternoon...after talking it through with my family. We all agreed that it was best for me if I did go. And to be totally honest, I needed it. I couldn't call long distance and did not have the use of my cell, so I apologize for not getting back with anyone. Obviously, however, my health had to come first and foremost. I do want to thank every last one of you guys for the support I have received thus far. I struggled with myself for 39 hours before my mom said anything to me. They had an intervention for me at 12 noon Saturday and that's when I finally saw for myself that I had to get help. God knows what would have happened if I hadn't. I'm now on Lexapro and doing better...counseling will start next week. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart.

So glad to hear the good news, Jeremy! *sigh of relief*
You've already begun to see things more clearly, enabling you to make wise decisions. Every decision we make sows a seed. Because of all the recovery steps you've taken this week, you will reap a harvest of healing in the coming days. God bless!!

I know it. I'm already feeling that healing. I realize now that I do suffer from a real illness, which is depression. I also know that if I fall that low again, all I need do is go back and check myself into that hospital again, and they'll make adjustments to my medicines. For right now, my focus is not only on getting better but (at least for tonight) getting out and really enjoying life for the first time since before my hospitalization. Which I think will actually help me to accomplish the former.

Jeremy,
I am so glad that you got some help! Depression is a really bad disease for anyone to get but luckily it is treatable. It is really no answer to problems you have , but creates problems for the people you leave behind. ((((((((Jeremy)))))))))) I am so glad you are feeling better about your life!!!!!

PS - indirect thank you going out to yoda/Matt. Once again, I'm so sorry you struggle as well but you are a wealth of info for Jeremy. Not to mention, sincere support.

Made a decision today that will impact quite a few on my myspace and facebook. I'm getting rid of fake friends. The ones that ask for my help but then when I need them they disappear, will be gone. If I don't hear from someone in some form or fashion, they disappear. Doesn't matter who it is. I'm tired of fake friends and I'm tired of folks disappearing when I need them most...

Jeremy you're lucky to be able to receive help. I've been at suicides door before, and I had to get out on my own from total neglect from almost everyone I know. Everyone thought I was going crazy, and I had to convince them I wasn't. The battle has been ongoing since probably last March. Still to this date I face massive challenges, the only thing that makes me feel good day to day is The Beatles. If you love something, just pay attention to it more often, it'll give you something to do, and something to feel. I know write my own music, and make songs, incredible lyrical writing. Just, when people are in these hard times, you can overcome them by searching yourself for your passion.
Don't take the easy way temperarily out. I became a hard-core drug addict for several months. It got me expelled from high school, fired from my job, kicked out of my house... I lost so many friends and support. To this date I still may be abusing myself too much, but it's better than it was before.
Just remember man, you're not alone with anything, there is always someone there going through just the same pain as you are. I also have health problems from losing almost 50 lbs in a little over 3 weeks. Then, I gained 30 lbs the next. My body was put into a shock like state, and I still visit the doctors weekly to see how much I weigh, and to get blood tests and what not.
I'll walk with you in mind through this ordeal. This may sound cheesy, but when you face these circumstances, you understand more.
Good luck buddy.

Fix a big ptr of Chicken and noodles to help get that cold on its way out of the door.
Boil a chicken till meat starts to fall off bone.Retain the meat and shred the meat. Then in the broth put sliced onions, carrotts and sliced celery. Cook till almost tender and then add a bag of noodles and cook till noodles are done Add the meat back and enjoy. I like to add a few drops of Tabasco sauce into my bowl to help clear my stuffy nose when I fix this.
