sun /sʌn/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[suhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation, noun, verb, sunned, sun·ning.
–noun 1. (often initial capital letter) the star that is the central body of the solar system, around which the planets revolve and from which they receive light and heat: its mean distance from the earth is about 93 million miles (150 million km), its diameter about 864,000 miles (1.4 million km), and its mass about 330,000 times that of the earth; its period of surface rotation is about 26 days at its equator but longer at higher latitudes.

I hope to see this giant star one day too. It sounds interesting.

Boy, that thing is bright! It blinded me this morning. You know, like when a prisoner or someone hasn't seen daylight in a long time and when they first do, it hurts their eyes? That's how I felt this morning.

Good thing there were no stray cockroaches waiting for you to get focused.

A radio dj was saying we haven't seen the sun in 16 days. Hope we have another pleasant sunny day tomorrow.

Another nice one today! However, tomorrow looks to be a washout. Colder weather will return on Sunday.

Here? No....there's been way too much rain for many months now. They're gonna rename the city Swampmont.

I love rain and I'm sick of it. Tomorrow we have a 80% (NWS) - 90% (KFDM) chance of rain too.

The weather was gorgeous the last 2 days after seeing ugly grey skies and rain for nearly 2 weeks. But, could not enjoy it since I was stuck at work all day and the sun starting to go down by the time I got off. Now, I am off this weekend, first weekend off since November! And I get ugly grey skies again and they give 90% chance of rain today! But, the crawfish boil is still on for today and I will hopefully get to see some sun tomorrow!

Doesn't matter what the skies are like for a crawfish boil! Stick those pots & burners under the carport....boil away!

We will, cajunmama. Our crawfish boil is still going on today. Got to meet my boyfriend at his house for 12:45, then we are leaving to go to his friends house for the crawfish boil. I can't wait. First time I will get to eat crawfish this year!

After an all day rain event yesterday here on the MS Gulf Coast, we saw the sun today with cold temps.

It sure was nice to see that big yellow thang!

But now back to reality....rain for at least the next several days, starting late tomorrow.

Frick, I think we might as well get used to seeing those River Flood Warning Statements on our NWS pages...before the rivers can get below flood stage, it rains again.

Sun is shining again this morning. I need to go soak some up before it gets cloudy this pm. All the grey skies are making me crabby!
