Someone should invent this!

#1 Postby angelwing » Tue Jan 30, 2007 8:20 am

I am so sick and tired of all the salt on my van! No sooner that I can get the junk off, there's a little bitty snow and the city goes nuts with putting a ton of salt on the highway and my van looks like someone poured white paint on it it's so bad! :grrr: Someone should invent something that repels salt off a vehicle, it's getting to be a major hassle, you get out of your vehicle and it gets on your clothes sometimes and its a mess :grrr:

(ok thank you for letting me vent :) )

Does keeping the van waxed help keep it off?

Nope, I did my usual winter wax job on it (3 coats after a through in & out detailing and engine maintenance)and the stuff STILL sticks!!! Wish they would make a salt repeller like some of the dust repellers out there, sigh.

There is something called Toughseal that's supposed to repel stuff like salt. I've never used it, so I have no idea if it works. Might be worth googling though.
