Wow, the largest Artic outbreak in years over the great lakes and plains. In 90s in Florida. The weather is weird.

It's no wonder there were major tornadoes with temperatures like that...

NWS Miami on the record heat....

CLIMATE...
SEVERAL RECORD HIGHS HAVE BEEN APPROACHED THIS AFTERNOON. THE
RECORD OF 86 IN FORT LAUDERDALE HAS BEEN BROKEN...AND RECORD HIGHS
OF 87 AT MIAMI AND 88 AT WEST PALM BEACH ARE CLOSE TO BEING TIED
AS OF THIS WRITING. REFER TO ANY RECORD EVENT
REPORTS...RERPBI...RERFLL...AND RERMIA THAT MAY BE ISSUED LATER
THIS AFTERNOON AFTER MAXIMUM TEMPS HAVE BEEN REACHED.

Record highs for the date were also tied at Miami (87) and West Palm Beach (88) earlier today, as evidenced by the Miami NWS.

Now I don't think we'll see 90s this week but I do think temperatures will warm to the 80s by Thursday and Friday in some locations in central/south Florida.

But those 90s temperatures last week are very warm for this time of year...very surprising for February.
