Tonight! on "Center of Circulation" - Storm Predi

#1 Postby wxdude67 » Thu Feb 15, 2007 8:50 pm

Beginning next week on "Center of Circulation" (2/20 at 9pm EST) is a four-part series of interviews from Meteorologists from the Storm Prediction Center. First up is Warning Coordination Meteorologist Dan McCarthy. Among topics of discussion will be a little background, the new Tornado Rating System (http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2006/s2573.htm), the two most recent killer outbreaks, the internal reporting structure inside the SPC, the birth of a Severe Thunderstorm and Tornado Watch Box, ect.

Get your questions ready. If you are unable to make the show, feel free to e-mail them to me.

Upcoming Storm Prediction Center Guests:
2/27 - Jack Hales - Lead Forecaster
3/06 - Jared Guyer - Asst. Mesoscale Forecaster
3/13 - Steve Corfidi - Lead Forecaster

What type of a show is it? Is there a link I can go to?

Yes, please post more info on where we can view. Couldn't find anything on SPC or noaanews.

Last year at the Nat'l Severe Wx Workshop in Norman, I had the privilege of attending a break out session on Severe Wx Forecasting taught by Steve Corfidi. Got writer's cramp trying to keep up with him. It was totally awesome!
