It was Orson! with Gloves! Bree... leave the murderer NOW!

So, a slight concussion gets her written out for the next 8 episodes? Something else must happen.

WOW. That To Be Continued sucked. LOL.

Next week looks well, amazing. Someone dies and others are injured.

Well I've been trying to tell Bree this all along!

And God Bless Andrew! I knew he would protective of his mother. Even after all they had been thru, Andrew is a shrewd judge of character and he's been skeptical of Orson all along.

Even if it looked like Orson killed Monique, and he didn't, this character is done. IMHO, anyway.

I was expecting Mike to remember how he felt about Susan.

I didn't see the first 30 minutes last night. I'm still sticking with Orson. I don't think he killed anyone. I think Alma and Gloria ganged up on him just the way they did when Alma "raped" him. Somehow, someway, I think he's a basically good guy.

Well after Orson told Bree the truth(which we didn't actually see), Bree said "I wanted to know before I knew what it was", and then when Andrew is in the hall and overhears the end of the conversation she says "you did a horrible thing". I think at the very least he helped kill her with Gloria and/or Alma(most likely Gloria, based on how she reacted to Alma wanting to go to the police).

Oh and he ran over Mike and tried hard to frame him for the murder. Why?

I think he did clean up after Alma/Gloria killed her - so he is involved but Alma/Gloria had something to hold over his head in order to get him to help them and do whatever it took to keep the secret. Had he told Bree that he killed intentionally killed someone, I don't think Bree would have let him stay in her house. Are you guys getting tired of me defending him yet??

LOL. I'm so confused. I re-watched the scene where he tells Bree again and she says "I don't care if you go to jail... you did a horrible thing", but then the question is, why would she be so relatively calm? Heck, she kicked him out of the house for simply pretending not to KNOW Monique even though he did.

I'm very curious to see how Bree is written out(it has to be related to what Orson did). Next week is her last episode for awhile.

Oh... and she still doesn't know he ran over Mike. She called whoever did it a "crazy lunatic" last night.

Desperate Housewives
by Dave Anderson

February 11, 2007: I Remember That

Three weeks ago (when the last new episode aired), I briefly whined: "When oh, when will we get to see Monique in flashbacks again?" So you know I was screaming with joy when I got my wish tonight! Not only did Monique (Kathleen York) reappear in a flashback, but we also got so many answers, as did Mike Delfino, all thanks to his hypnotherapist (Miriam Flynn). So Mike didn't kill Monique — Orson framed Mike by giving Mike his wrench back — the wrench that had Monique’s blood on it. Now we know why Mike's phone number was written on Monique's hand. We also know that Mike never dated Monique: "I'm flattered, but I'm seeing somebody." Monique: "Me, too, but he's married and I'm drunk." I do wonder what Orson told Bree when he "confessed" and told her "the truth." He said she was upset, but apparently not too upset, since she was still living with him before the ladder accident. As usual, we got some answers but were still left with further questions. Like, why would Gloria lock Alma in the upstairs room? If Alma was locked away, how could the elderly Gloria place a bag of marbles way up high on that breakable ladder? I know Andrew thinks that it was Orson who rigged that ladder, but who knows? So many questions. And Orson falling off the top of the hospital roof parking lot after his fistfight with Mike made me laugh — loved the "to be continued...."

Three weeks ago, I also commented that I didn't think the script was as funny as it was the week before. That certainly wasn't the case tonight. We had humorous and rewindable moments galore, so kudos to writers and co-executive producers John Pardee and Joey Murphy. There were so many funny parts and great lines that it's difficult to pick my favorite. But I'll have to go with Lynette and Tom during the scene where Tom pretended to yell at Lynette, making it appear as though he was the boss in front of his staff. Lynette whispering: "Seriously — stop or I will hurt you" was perhaps my favorite, but how about the dialog that lead up to that scene? Tom: "When I go home, basically, I check my balls at the door and that's fine. It works. But for this to work, when you walk through that door, you've got to check yours." Brilliant.

I would've preferred more Edie scenes but her one scene provided my second favorite line. Edie, after Tom tried several times to give her a pizza coupon: "Oh, Tom, please. You've checked out my butt enough times to know that I don't eat pizza," as she walks away sexily and Tom looks over his shoulder with a smirk. I heart Edie! Tonight's script also gave a few actors who don't normally get to be funny a chance to be very funny. I never laughed at Josh Henderson until tonight. Maybe Austin needs to be stoned more often? His marijuana-induced line to Lynette cracked me up: "Julie Mayer dumped me, and I'm very, very upset. Your face is not changing." (I loved that Lynette's facial expressions kept getting acknowledged.) Andrea Bowen also had a great scene when Julie was being supportive to her mother for a change, rather than being annoyed. But she gave support in a humorous way when she helped Susan pick out an outfit for Jane's funeral: "Is sexy what you're going for at the funeral of your boyfriend's wife?"

Those funeral scenes could've been really annoying but what made them work for me was that Ian supported Susan throughout, rather than becoming embarrassed. I enjoyed Suzanne Cryer as Lynn, the slutty sorority-sister friend of Jane. Yes, I know she costarred on Two Guys, a Girl & a Pizza Place, but I never watched that show. For me, she will always be the "Yada Yada" girl from Seinfeld. It made sense for Susan to hide away with "the departed" since she was so mortified by being outed as "the bimbo" at the funeral. I liked when Susan told Ian, "I accept your proposal to propose."

Even though Eva Longoria was hilarious in every one of her scenes, this Zach-obsessed-with-Gaby story line needs to end soon, please. Here she is — the youngest of the housewives — and she's feeling old at 31. Uh-uh. Not buying it — not our Gaby. Maybe around Claire Danes, I mean, young Zach Young. But, come on. I was happy to see Strong Medicine’s Brennan Elliott as Luke, but it, of course, bugged me that Luke ended up being on Zach's legal team. I hated that Zach made Luke say to Gaby: "I only date women in their twenties — you're too old for me." Like that's going to make her more attracted to Zach? Only tons of alcohol will do that trick. Cut. That. Hair. Please.

I'd like to focus back on the awesome parts of this episode, and here are further highlights:

— Bree telling Orson he was raped by Alma. Orson: "But I was dead to the world." Bree: "No, dear, you were dead to the waist."
— Gaby to Zach: "I'm a single woman in my thirties. I now have to subscribe to Cat Fancy. It's the law."
— Gaby to Zach (about Luke): "Well, he seemed to like me in the mattress department, so here's hoping I like him in the mattress department."
— Andrew to Lynette, after she asked him if the floor looked "Bree-Hodge clean," "Uh, no, it looks Andrew-Van-De-Kamp clean. But your disappointment in me is very Bree Hodge."
— Gloria to Alma: "I usually don't say this to expectant mothers, but for God's sake, have a scotch!"
— Alma to Gloria: "I'd rather see him in jail than playing house with Tammy Tight-Ass."
— Lynette referring to Austin as "Joe Bong-Hit."
— Tom, explaining to Lynette why he hired Austin back: "Austin is hot. He's gonna bring in every girl from Fairview High... and half the boys in the chorus." Shut up.
— Andrew telling Orson that he's never met "Bad Andrew," "Hurt my mom and you will!"

Next week should be a doozie. I won't comment about the coming attractions since some of you hate spoilers, but all I'll say is: "Can't wait."

I ~wish~ I had written that blog. LOL

Yes, it was a good one, very thorough.

My favorite lines are a tie - Andrew's "bad Andrew" and Tom saying he checks his you know what at the door. Too funny!

I also agree it's hard to believe Gabby thinks she is old at 31. Give me a break! But since I'm watching early episodes and if you go back to the beginning, Gabby seemed superficial so these latest comments tie in with her early character.

Episode 3.16: My Husband, The Pig
Airdate: March 4, 2007

02/14 - Rex Van De Kamp takes over the role as narrator of the goings on at Wisteria Lane, observing things from a male perspective, Edie gets a visit from an unexpected someone from her past, and an unanticipated pregnancy creates complications.

Edie's ex-husband and son is the unexpected visit. Unanticipated pregnancy.... hmmmm. I have theories but I want to see who dies this week first.

LOL at the title BTW.

ABC has released pictures and Orson and Mike are playing poker together? WOW. I knew Orson wasn't dying, but how are they suddenly getting along? and I guess Mike doesn't find out Orson was driving that car.

It looks like the mystery is mostly over this week(Bree leaves for some reason, I think Alma dies, which rules her out for the pregnancy. So Hmmmm....

So Gloria killed Monique. I kind of figured that out last week when she went nuts over Alma wanting to go to the police. So Orson's only guilty of covering it up and trying to kill someone else who had nothing to do with it.

This really feels like a finale, huge stuff so far.

Yikes. 3 people could be dead, all close to Orson.

This feels like a finale. I'm serious.

So.... what happened to Bree? I'm guessing she won't be upstairs when he goes back in?

That was odd. I thought Gloria was dead, but this is better. :P

I think I like Orson now. That was priceless.

So Danielle is pregnant? Kind of figured that... unfortunately.

Pburgh...i thought of you this episode. You must be elated! Orson is not the killer.

Gabby and Carlos...they crack me up. Carlos saying that Gabby would know if she slept with Zach!

Andrew really does love his mother. :)

And look who is pregnant...........

Ugh, I didn't like that whole Rita McLaughlin thing at the end and during the hospital scene with Susan visiting Bree. It was so obvious. (RM was Patty Duke's stand-in for The Patty Duke Show, so Patty could talk to Cathy or vice-versa since Patty Duke actually played both roles.)

Ian didn't look close enough at the ring. My guess is that there is an engraved message inside the band from Mike.

Ugh! Creepy Zach! LOL @ Carlos illustrating for Gabrielle why she would have remembered sleeping with Zach.

Best line: Carlos to Gabrielle -- "I'm going to warn the Scavo boys!"

Best scene: After Orson pulled Bree out of the tub and brought her to the bed. Marcia Cross with wet hair...'nuff said. :)

Shawn - has your heartrate gone down yet? LOL!

Now I feel like I can read this topic. You see my daughter had a friend over to watch DH since today is a holiday (no school) and they didn't start it until late (DVR'ed it). And it's not cool for Mom to hang out. So I didn't start watching the episode until almost 11:30. I was dying to know who died. I asked them both - just tell me, Mike didn't die, did he? The looks on their faces!!!! Priceless. They said and I quote - why would ~Mike~ die? LOL He is one of my faves on the show ya know (after Tom and Lynette). I just do not trust Ian - period. He is in that Orson camp.

That said, I will try to trust Orson now Karan. Truly I will. But I have one remaining, burning question, they did not address last night!!!!

Why did Orson run over Mike? We need to know that answer!!! Orson knew his mother killed Monique and Mike was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But I suspect the reason Orson ran over Mike goes back to his prison dentistry days - there's something between those 2 that happened back in Prison.

Brent - what do you think is the reason Orson ran over Mike? Sorry, but I cannot let this go!

And yes Andrew really, really loves his mother. I could have hugged that kid last night and smacked the living daylights out of his sister. Side note - what was up with her hairstyle? Is this in style now - gag!!!! Danielle has always annoyed me.

Tom choking up - made me want to choke up!

And Gabby missed the best line of all last night, after she told Zach to get lost and leave her alone, she should have said......

GET A HAIRCUT! YOUR HAIR IS NOT ATTRACTIVE! (being as appearances are so important to Gabby, wonder why she never asked him, what's up with the girly do? LOL)

I'm done now. Miss Mary's DH critique is over....he he

Ok, I feel better now. They still left a window of opportunity open for Gloria to come back. The look in her eyes when Orson was talking to her was terrific!!!! I certainly wish Gabby and Carlos would get back together. They are such a cute couple.
