I've heard that too, but I take it with a grain of salt. They can use any hair to do such a test, and can easily get one from an arm, leg, or anywhere on the body. Even if she were to somehow remove all hair from her body, there will be traces of drugs in her follicles for days to weeks after using.

Yeah, and I also thought that you have to have the root of the hair to do a drug analysis? And you can trace drug use back years with it.

Several entertainment sources are now reporting that Britney Spears tried, on multiple occasions, to kill herself in the last few days.

I'm wondering if the folks from A Minor Consideration are going to get in touch with her and get her some help. If she gets it, she'll go on to be another Paul Petersen or Patty Duke (rough past...but a long future). Or, she'll die tragically like Jonathan Brandis or Anissa Jones.

Well, something is definitely going on with her. Now I am starting to feel sorry for her. She is crying out for help and she needs to get it for the sake of her children. This isn't funny anymore.

I'm hardly suprised there. If someones that desparate to kill herself, she'll succeed eventually. It is quite sad i guess, but hardly suprising :(

Problem is that she's about to hit rock bottom but is still in denial WRT her problem. She needs a heavy duty intervention like having her Mother slap her alongside the head to knock some sense into it or maybe having her committed. Better yet send her to a Monastery in the Himalayas. Mean while, the gold digger (K-Fed) is lapping this all up as it will give him the children and major alimony.

I don't know what happened to her on Antigua. If she couldn't find the help she needed at Crossroads.....something is clearly wrong. Possibly more than addiction.

FYI, Crossroads is the rehab started and funded by Eric Clapton.

Whats really scarey is thinking about her age. My daughter played softball against her while she attended Parklane Academy. They are still kids becoming young adults.

You might consider praying for her........it works alot better than pointing fingers.

Addiction knows no boundaries. I've been there. It is the monster of all evils.

Well, the behavior she exhibited over the weekend seemed almost like a scizophrenic episode (paranoia, thinking people are after you). I'm wondering if some real mental problem is contributing to her behavior.

As for her age, she's not a kid. She's in her 26th year. She is a bona fide, full-fledged adult. If all of her behavior really is being brought on by herself, it can't be attributed to her age. More likely, it's can be attributed to her lifestyle and those around her.

I truly believe that if she is left to her own devices that something tragic will happen. Her parents should step in and take extreme measures. She may be an adult but it doesn't seem as though she has any control over her actions. If I were her Mom, I would have her committed for her own safety. What a shame.

TMZ and Perez Hilton are now reporting she has checked into a rehab facility. This makes three times in one week.

This trip is conditional. If she checks out early, Kevin Federline will petition courts for full custody of their children.

Good for him.

I agree. I admit to poking fun at Britney before, but I do think it's serious now and not a laughing matter.

A perfect example of someone that has been down the road and knows.
It's not a laughing matter.....it's a matter of life and death.

Kudos to Craig. For both his compassion and his 15 years sober!!!!!

I wonder what Britney Spears is addicted to. I know people who experience withdrawal can have violent outbursts. Addiction is no picnic. It's serious stuff and can lead to death. Last year, I had a friend who died from drug overdose and had suffered from addiction for years.

Unfortunately, that is the truth when it comes to addiction. Addiction is very hard to break. It's a vicious cycle that enslaves and ruins people. Addicition is like a chronic disease that needs to be constantly maintained to avoid relapse.
