Rock On!!

#1 Postby pojo » Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:56 pm

My mother sent me this email.... It is fitting for those who now serve, who have served and those who know people serving.

There is a rock along a gravel quarry in rural Iowa that was painted this way... Yes, the flag is painted on. This was painted by ONE person!

Have you thanked a military person today?

I saw this story on TV. According to the story, this particular rock was frequently used by local kids to paint graffiti. Many of the locals thought it was an eye sore. Then, this beautiful creation was painted over all the ugly graffiti. The rock was never vandalized again.

There is actually a band piece that goes with that rock, the piece is called "The Message on the Rock" I believe. I'm lucky because I have played it before for a concert ^^
