I'm gonna regret saying this BUT......

ENOUGH already

No wonder everyone on this mountain is SICK!!

We went from a high of 64 WONDERFUL °'s yesterday to TOTAL white out conditions, blizzard conditions and SUB ZERO windchill factor. "ENOUGH!" I am SO ready for SPRING that it ain't EVEN funny

I know....I whine when it's dry, I snivel at the lack of snow, I pitch a bit*h when it's hot, just like a man, NEVER happy!!

This is first TRUE winter we've had in 10 YEARS...yes, 10 YEARS and let me tell ya, after those LONG 10 years, a REAL White Mountain winter is HARD to HANDLE..

My woodpile is GONE....I'm burning that $2.21 a gallon PROPANE for the forced air (it's NOT the SAME heat as a wood stove!), electric space heater in the bathroom for showers. I have NEVER run out of wood before!! We had a FULL 3 cords of wood stockpiled for the winter and it's GONE, every STICK  and there's MORE cold weather on the way for next week!!

Dam groundhog....he LIED to me

The Drought is not over just set back a bit in places in AZ. Down here we have not had much in the way of rainfall and I don't think the Mountains around Flag are doing all that well either.

A balmy 4.1° for the low this morning...sitting at 32.7° at the moment with a breeze from the NE @ 14 gusting to 21 mph...needless to say, it's friggin COLD!!

Sooner, I wasn't cussing the weather just WHINNING about it "LOL!"

Steve, the offical tally for San Franciso Peak and Flagstaff before this last little system blew through was 44.25", compared to their normal 110"....I'd say yes, they are NOT doing well what so ever. My offical tally here at the house for the season thus far is 91" so I'm ABOVE normal to date AND......there's yet 2 MORE systems bearing down on us this coming week, the last one being a Weds. through Friday system now!

We are very close to normal now for the year here in south Tulsa, with 3.05", 1.2" of which fell last night....

Now we have a Phoenix brown cloud with dust from west Texas and winds gusting to near 50mph....

When we were in Glendale back at the beginning of the year, it looked dry, very dry - you guys need all the rain/snow you can get!

This time of year, the PHX brown cloud is not usually dust but a lovely concoction called photochemical smog. Same stuff they get in L.A. but with less moisture haze. During brown cloud episodes, the wind isn't even strong enough to blow a feather around let alone dust.

hehehe a whole 3 cords huh? I've burned through FIVE bush cords (15 face cords) with no end to winter in sight. I'm also down to using propane at this point (I agree about it not being the same heat)

Cheers
