Good job Shannon!!!! When I read that you spent 4 hours on the ground in a plane I thought you had booked a flight on Jet Blue!!!lol

Actually the temps are to go up to 51° here in the Burgh today. But......... we have rain headed our way with snow to follow.
March 1 ---- I thought that groundhog predicted an early Spring????????

I'll leave some snickerdoodles on the table and put on a fresh pot of coffee. Oops, I almost forgot to brew a pot of Earl Grey for Miss Mary. There you go Mary.
As Eric would say have a Terrific Thursday!

 <------- *breeze is crying....COUGH! A-HEM!

David - did you leave me ONE...just ONE chocolate KK?

LOL!

I'm moving, again, folks. I'm sticking my neck out and BUYING
instead of renting. My neice is moving to a new home and selling
her house. Her papa (my brother) and his wife are moving back
into my house(rental). Their son and his soon-to-be-new-wife
are moving into the house that they are currently living in. I'm
buying my neice's house! Our family is playing "musical houses"!
LOL, it's like a choreographed dance - one person moves, then another,
then another.... Jeesh - should life be so complicated?

Thanks for saving me that chocolate KK, David - God Bless You - when I typed the move strategy, I

Well maybe it's a Pittsburgh thing but MOVING is all about a case of beer and some wine!!!! lol
I remember many years ago when Craig and I went to my daughter and son in laws in Virginia to help them move. They were drinking coffee and iced tea. Craig's first words were "where's the beer? We don't even move a dresser without beer!!!!"

Moving? Annette - wish I could help you!!!! Moving is hard......especially when you've accumulated so much junk. If we had to move, it would take me 6 months to weed out what we no longer need (lots of useless items!). That's half of it I'm told - pitch, donate or keep is what I've heard you should do. Before you ever just start boxing up rooms. LOL!

But yes you are the Margarita Queen, that you are Annette!!!! So maybe I could make that trip down to Tennessee....for your famous Margarita's....he he

Miss Mary feeling relieved to be among her clutter and knowing her next moving day is a few years away (after our youngest is half way thru college or graduated!).

Sounds exciting though Annette. Keep giving us updates! And don't forget the boxes, packing tape, markers, Ben-gay, Epsom Salts (for long hot soaks later!).....he he

Hi alicat, welcome!

Annette, Sistah I don't envy you. Although if we didn't have to move cross-country twice in the last 6 years, I would probably still have piles and piles of junk collecting dust in the basement, which I no longer have - the junk or the basement. Nothing like moving to lighten your load. Wish I could help ya also. We'd have quite an S2K team. :team:

Hi Mary! The husband and I are heading out later today for, where else, Cincinnati!! He has a meeting, and my quest ... Cheesecake Factory! After lunch tomorrow, we're probably going to hit the Museum Center. I saw that the Omnimax theater is showing a movie on the Louisiana Bayou, before and after Katrina. I don't know what else we'll do. I know I want to hit the scrapbook store "Archivers", maybe get some good pad thai somewhere, and whatever else that I can't get in Evansville.

Take care all! God bless!

LOL, did I say this, already? I am SOOOOOOooooo dreading this move! (yes, Ithink I said
that, already)...

Thank the Good Lord - I cleaned out junk, and, the stuff I have to move is REAL stuff - not
much of it! (*whew!)

LOL, Miss Mary - boxes, packing tape, markers, Ben-gay, Epsom Salts (for long hot soaks later!)...

Don't worry - I have got that covered to the hilt!

And, Donna, you're welcome to come and help move! LOL, Cheesecake Factory and Pad Thai? Yummmm....
...my tummy is already growling! You rascal...!

You Can Run But You Cannot Hide!

#277 Postby azskyman » Sun Mar 11, 2007 9:10 am

Hi there Annette,

We had four addresses in one six month period...spring into fall, 1997! We're STILL looking for a box of kitchen utensils that must have been left at address #2 or #3!

Don't envy you moving, but the good news is that it does give you a chance to get rid of things you don't need or at least box up some things that have been lying dormant someplace for a long period of time. Best wishes with the move. Kathy and I would help, of course, except that between our sons moves and her 5 moves in 10 years with the doctor's offices, you'd be pouring Margarita doubles in us just to keep us from bitchin' all day!!! We'd be more like baggage than help!

And Shannon, what can I say? You've been a rising star for a long long time. You know, of course, that on one of your cross-sections of some incredible storm you will have to have a photo taken of you INSIDE the plane holding up a sign that says "Hello S2K from inside the eye of ......." It will be a classic!

Donna, Kathy and I have a Cheesecake Factory 5 minutes from the house. We rarely go, especially this time of year with all the baseball fans in town, but we were there last Friday afternoon for a slice of Dulce de Leche! Had you been in town with us, there was a table large enough for all!!! Keep that in mind if ever you head out west!!

Take care everyone! Going to be near 90 here today!

Hey everyone... I have been spending my time on the Front Porch since the weather has been so nice. I heard the words Breeze and street corner in the same sentence and I had to come see what the fuss was about. :A: Oh, and Annette... good luck with that move. I will be pulling for you... from my recliner. :D

Actually, I haven't had enough time to sit in a recliner for very long. Our debate season is winding down and this is my last semester at college before student teaching so there are tons of things to do. I don't think I will ever remember to cross all the "t"s or dot all the "i"s but I do the best I can. Steve, miss reading all of your posts. Your insight is missed around here.

By the way, I have a new email address you all might want to jot down... gcook@monett.k12.mo.us !!! Feel free to email there if you wanna say hi or whatnot. I use that email address for 99.9% of all of my communication. Please do not send forwards to it, however, because of the massive volume of emails I get on a daily basis from faculty members and students.

Well, I will pass on the KK's because it is lunch time. Hope everyone has a glorious Sunday and workweek. I will try to check back in more often.

We have an ARWO (Wx Officer) that knows I'm posting on here... It will be an interesting season to say the least. Hopefully, we will get the website updated to include 2006 pictures (and soon 2007 pictures). Needless to say, I can't wait for the season.
