It seems the NWS Miami tropical section hasn't noticed that since 2002 Allison has been retired and cannot be used once again in the Atlantic. Just one minor oops!!!

It probably hasn't been updated and reflects the original name listings prior to the newer retirements (including Allison). The official updated list from the Tropical Prediction Center (NHC) states the correct replacement name for 2007 is Andrea. In addition, updates to some of the records and information on NWS sites often take long periods of time.

Not exactly. The 2001 "Iris" has been replaced by "Ingrid" and the 2001 "Michelle" was replaced by "Melissa". The only name that is wrong in their list is "Allison" because the other two have been correctly replaced.

That's certainly true. It might be a simple error by the site updaters or a glitch in the server for the name listings on the site.

Moreover, it's interesting to note that NWS Key West has the right name list, while the NWS Miami has an error on the list.
