Mega Millions! $370 million!

#1 Postby Brent » Tue Mar 06, 2007 5:14 pm

Anyone buy a ticket or tickets? I'm still debating going the 10 miles to Georgia and buying one.

The hype around it is so big they are moving the drawing at 11pm ET tonight to Times Square.

Largest jackpot in the U.S. ever.

I think it's worth it. I never play any kind of lottery here in Florida even though my dad hit the Fantasy 5 on 2005, I still feel not motivated to play. Nevertheless, if it gets that high then everything changes. Miami is too far from Georgia to play for just $370,000,000!!!

No. The Lottery is nothing but a tax on the mathematically challenged. :)

I agree, and that's why I normally don't play.

only play the lottery when you are mathematically guaranteed to win.

if the jackpot is not won tongiht, it would likely then go over 500 million. Then, just buy EVERY COMBINATION. Even with a split jackpot, you would probably come out ahead

The winning numbers were: 42-39-29-22-16, and the Mega Ball was 20.

Wow... can you image having $370,000,000? I think I would..... well, I have no idea. I would be trying to buy everything at once.

What would be the VERY FIRST thing you would buy?

I think if I got all of the money at once (which I know you dont and then there is taxes), but I would go to work and give all of my co-workers (that I am friends with) about $100,000 each.... some may only get $50,000. Where I work, these people would be overjoyed. Then I would go by my church and other local churches and give about $10 million.

Then I would go buy me either a brand new Mercedes and/or a Cadillac SUV, then brand new cars for my parents and grandparents. Then I would buy them all new houses and hire them maids and give some money to our local charities, American Heart Association, some charities and then some money to my family members... then I would take a nice, long vacation...... (dream on, dream on).
