My new laptop will change automatically. Vista... :P

and as for losing an hour of sleep, well, not really. I'll just sleep later. I'm usually up at 2am on weekends anyway. Getting up at 7am on Monday is going to suck though(more so than usual).

We don't have a time change here in Arizona. We have a mind change.

I call family in Illinois often. I call our company headquarters in Delaware often. I call my sons and their families in California often. They all have time changes this weekend.

I have to have a mind change. I have to remember that there are now three hours difference between one, two between another, and none between the other.

But what I don't have to do is figure out how to set the clocks in my cars any more!!

That's worth the ticket to Arizona all by itself!

When I worked for the Tropicana, their corporate office was in Phoenix so we would always have to "remember" how many hours behind they were.

I CAN'T WAIT for the time change - I NEED SUN!

There is no black hole between 12:00 PM and 1:00 AM.Simply, when 2:00 AM EDT arrives the clocks move one hour ahead to 3:00 AM EDT.

Ummm... how could any records be broken? It's just a time change... nothing unusual. Maybe I'm missing something here...

sorry for the misclarity, records ie first time the world has been on more than 2 different time scales, most times the reminder has come across the radio waves, first time there has been no flights at 2:30am in early march. I dont know its probably a stupid question.

I hate when I can't sleep and I have to work in the morning.

But, just wanted to point out that my PC clock just changed right at 2:00AM. Now says "3:00." :)

(Edit: Looking at my post, I see that the time on S2K didn't change. So, here's a reminder -- go to your profile and change your settings. :) )

The biggest change for our family is having our DVR all messed up. We have Satellite reception and all of our weekly timers were off by an hour, of course. This didn't happen in the Fall last year though. So we painstakingly went in, deleting them all and starting over again.

Then Dish Network adjusted their clocks or DVR's (yesterday, 3 days after the fact), or whatever and they were off one hour - again, last night!

A few here will relate when I said - thank God it wasn't when Lost was on....LOL!!!!

Anywho, now our timers are set, again. Wonder if we'll have to go thru this again next November? he he

Heck by then we may have cable back (we keep trying to hold them to their proclaimed printed offers on flyers but when we ask for all these services (cable, high speed, phone, etc.), they quote a price much higher than their flyer states. And so we say no thank you, yet again. But that's another subject, for another day.

Check your DVR's if anyone has Dish or Satellite. They could waaaaaaay off!

Other than that and we're adjusting.

Mary

Mary, you may not have to wait until fall. They may accidentally update at the beginning of April unless they changed their system to not update on the usual date. You should probably double check it (in April) before you rely on it to record any show you truly don't want to miss.

Loren - I just meant that since these time changes were not the usual times (April, late October), I just hope they work out the kinks by November! But eh, they're only TV shows......LOL Funny thing was when my daughter made an after school snack and sat down to watch a recorded show. But in it's place was another show so she thought maybe it was just the tailend of previous show and her usual one would start. So she let it play. It was that A & E show about having a baby. Suddenly a child was being born on screen and my daughter about died! I had a chuckle about that. Obviously her usual show didn't record!

1) The world is always on different time scales. Even in the old system, the US sprang forward a week or two earlier than the Europeans. There was also a time where DST lasted all year.

2) I'm not sure if anyone could really count the number of reminders across the radio waves, but I doubt it is any more than usual.

3) I'm not sure about the flight thing, but there are hardly any flights at that time anyway.

Woohoo! DST is here! Thank goodness! I'll be more than happy to give up an hour of sleep to push back sunset an hour. I'd rather have that hour of sunlight during the evening when it's usable rather than waste it while I'm locked up at work, away from any windows.
