For the chat women

Do you go in the chatroom on S2K? If so, when is the last time you have been there? I used to go all the time, but haven't in quite a while. Since Katrina it seemed like everything was so hectic until time just flew by. I will probably start going back in when the season starts.

I rarely go because everything moves so fast! I personally prefer taking my time to post in threads like these. I know alot of people do enjoy chat rooms, however. To each their own!

I only think of the chat room when I know there's a major wx event, such as a hurricane. That is still when I say a chat room operates in its finest hour - rapid, immediate info going out. I just sit back and lurk. Less busy times, I felt it was okay to post.

Also, when I do go to chat, I view it as a committment. Which sounds odd but since the chatter moves so fast, I only go when I know I have 15 or so minutes to devote to it. Unlike the boards - you can leave the computer and you didn't miss anything. You walk away from Chat and you miss a lot (at it's busiest).

Give me a major wx story (not really, certainly do not want another Katrina to form) and the idea of chat will cross my mind!
