The rain has not quite ended across all of North Texas, eventually it will by Midday. Within a 24-hour period, DFW Int'l airport received a record 2.09 in. of rain while some isolated areas got 3-4 in. or more. Currently, Flood Warnings are in place for most of our rivers, lakes, creeks, and streams until further notice. So, to those who are planning on going fishing in the Flood Warning areas, my suggestion, dont.
Meanwhile, we're looking at a rapid warm-up on Monday, then on the rest of the week we're seeing another major cooldown as a strong cold front moves through North Texas pushing temperatures a little below normal.

This week, were going from a rapid warm-up to a rapid cool-down a sa strong cold front sweeps through the area late Tuesday Night. We also have chances of thunderstorms this Tuesday and Wednesday, but they're not gonna be as severe as last time, though we will be needing our light jackets at night.
Speaking of last week's storms, according to the NWS, an EF-1 tornado touched down in Wylie, Texas, with 25-30 homes sustaining heavy damage, other homes suffered minor roof damage, but luckily, no deaths or injuries have occured.

The SPC has issued a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for all of North Texas through tonight. The only threats will be large hail, damaging winds, and cloud to ground lightning. In other words, they're not gonna be as heavy as last week's cluster of storms. Then in the next 12-18 hours, temperatures will take a plunge to the mid 50s and from there on out, highs will be in the lower to mid 60s and lows will be in the 40s, so don't put away your light jacket just yet.

Hey TexasStooge I am headed up that way from the Easter weekend to see family. The live N of Fort Worth in the Trophy Club subdivision. Looks Like it will rather chilly after experiencing the upper 70s to low 80s down here in Houston.

This has been a wild night in North Texas. Storms flared along a slow moving cold front which already passed through the area, one of those storms in Tarrant County spawned some wall clouds as reported by storm spotters and emergency management, making residents in Arlington, Grand Prairie, and Mansfield scramble for cover after the cities sounded their sirens. Hail in sizes of ping-pong to golf ball also fell in that same area, causing extensive damage, but no injuries or deaths occured yet. The National Weather service said that there have been no confirmed reports of a tornado touchdown, but has issued the Tornado Warning as a precautionary measure, which was cancelled 15 minutes before its expiration time. You can read more of this on WFAA.com.
In the next 7 days, were gonna see more showers and thunderstorms, except these won't be as heavy as the last 2 batches we had in a 2 week period. We're also gonna be expecting a major cooldown on Saturday with highs in the mid 50s to low temps as low as 36!!
