#1 Postby simplykristi » Fri Apr 27, 2007 7:16 pm

Hi All,
We had some storms roll thru the area late this afternoon. I got home in time to take pictures of the approaching storm and as it happened. I also got some pics of a rainbow as the storm was ending. To see my pics, please go here: http://simplykristi.smugmug.com/gallery ... #147422717 I have lots of weather-related pics too.

Those last couple of photo with the swirls made my hair stand up on end. Great work, Kristi! :D

I was shocked after coming home from a social outing last night to see tornado warnings in Kansas and Missouri. They kind of exploded. Also, I noticed the first warning of the event was a tornado warning; there was not a "warming up" severe thundertorm warning issued.

Hi All,
THanks :) I guess that I timed that perfectly as I got home home from work right before the storm came thru.

It was in the low to mid 60s before the storms came. The funnels that were sighted were cold air funnels. We did not have any warnings for our county. We just had a brief heavy downpour.
