Is the board down about 1/2 time time every day?

I have problems logging in with Firefox. It won't keep me automatically logged in(but in IE 7 it will), and half the time when I try to log in it just goes back to the Index and it's not logged in at all. It's quite frustrating. I usually end up having to clear both boxes and retype everything, and not click the "Log me in automatically" icon to get it to work. I haven't had any trouble actually loading the board though. I don't have this problem on other boards...

I have not been able to get on here for almost a whole week! This is crazy, I've tried both IE6 and FireFox, tired the direct IP address, and have refreshed dozens of times without luck. I've been having major problems ever since the server change.
Update (04/30/07): I could not get on during the first half of today. However, I got a new message instead of the classic "Page cannot be displayed" error. I got a 404 page not found error instead this time and the "outage" only lasted for a while.
EDIT: I have also noticed the forum is loading a lot faster then before
. What changes were made?

EDIT: I can get in using the board's IP, but I have to paste it into various URLs in order to post or log in.
Thanks for the advice! I finally discovered that portion of the technique. I forgot to paste the IP address into the links when I tried to log in to the forums, log out of the site, or post a message. Everything is working. I'm not having any problems.
I can use this method as an alternative measure (and successfully post on the boards and view all forums) until the main DNS server error is amended.

I am now having the same problem at work (started on 4/30/07) and now last night (4/30/07) it started at home. Keep getting the "404 Page Not Found" & having to hit refresh several times. tried every thing from cleaning out temp. files, cashe files, defragging, & even disk cleanup. I have IE 7 both here at work and at home. I know the Admin is working on this issue. Any thoughts & comments on help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

mf_dolphin wrote:The problem is definitely not a user or PC issue. I made some DNS changes to remove some defective records this morning and those changes should propagate through the internet in the next 24 hours. Those of you with first tier ISPs (AOL, RoadRunner etc) should see the change quicker.
Thanks "mf-dolphin" for all your help.
