Has anyone hear something about fires in Central America or Mexico, seems like I remember some smoke from fires down there reaching the gulf coast a year or two ago.

Actually, it happens every year about this tme as the fields are burned off before the planting in time for the Summer rainy season. We get smoke from Mexico in May every year down here.

Spring is always dry down there before the onset of the North American Monsoon (which also includes Central America)
