12Z GFS has it coming into FLA/GA line.

Most of the rain still way north of that though.

Thank GOD! As much as I'd love to see the rain, I'm getting married on Sunday....outside....on the beach...with family flying down from 2,000 miles away! This thing needs to stay waaaay north and east of the Clearwater area! Needless to say, I'm fanatically checking these threads...

Well down here in Ft. Myers we are in desperate in need of rain. Praying for clear skies in Clearwater. But praying for rain for the firefighters and the end of our drought.

Tracy, we all need rain.. Too bad this thing can't develop into a TD, weak TS and just park itself on top of the entire state and dump all kindsa rain on everyone that needs it..

I'll take rain like last night's 1:40 AM storm; each and every night for the next 2 months.
We need to get this dought over with, naturally water our lawns and get the resevoir's up to the levels they need to be at.
Plus, kill the fires.

Of course, no rain in Clearwater this weekend :D

Sorry about the wedding plans, but since there are a LOT of brush fires in north and central Florida, and drought conditions are at some of the worst levels since half of the state of Florida was LAST on fire back in 1998, I'm going to have to hope for this thing to roll into Florida somewhere between Daytona and St Augustine and exit around Tampa and to dump a LOT of rain to put out some of these fires. The smoke today in north Orlando was so heavy that you could smell it deep into office buildings and some of the malls. Being outdoors is dangerous for a lot of people because of the poor air quality. It's only a matter of time before we have some serious fire problems if we don't start getting a lot of rain!

Good luck, but if you have to move inside keep in mind it's really about the rest of your life not just one day.

Wow. Though I completely understand the conditions our state is in right now, I have to say that was a pretty crappy way of putting it ("Sorry about the wedding, but...."). Perhaps you might be a little more thoughtful in the future when it comes to things that are so dear to others. This is a huge day for me and mine and in no way is my wishing for nice weather for one afternoon any indication of any lack of caring on my part to the fires, air quality, etc. I live here, too.

Maybe this will roll in hard, but completely miss roughly a 20 mile area around Clearwater. While we're fantasizing and wishing, we might as well do it so that everyone is happy.

I strongly doubt this system will bring more rain... in fact it seems to be doing more harm than good with dry air and winds its bringing now.

I think Sunday should be sunny and a perfect day for a Wedding...if there is any rain it
will occur between This Thursday and this Saturday...but by Sunday the
low should have moved away from our area.

Congratulations on the wedding!

I hope to think that no one wishes any harm to your wedding plans.
Yeah, we need the rain badly but lets all wish for tons of rain but a window of beautiful weather to coincide with your special day!
I hardly think that being hopeful that the weather for your wedding is perfect will jinx our chances to curb the drought and the attending problems!
Congratulations and best wishes for beautiful weather and the start of a wonderful life for you two together!!!
