Question - NHC Email Advisories

#1 Postby jasons2k » Wed May 09, 2007 11:41 am

Did anyone out there NOT get the email advisory on Andrea?

Here's why I ask: I got the "test message" yesterday from the NHC confirming that I am on the mailing list, but I did not receive an email from them when Andrea formed.

Is it just me or system-wide?

Hmmm ... I didn't even get the test message, let alone today's advisory. Wonder if they've dropped me somehow.

I received the test message and both advisories for Andrea right on time. Maybe their database got corrupt with some of the members?

Here is the reply I received:

OK Jason....I suggest they try to resubscribe using http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/signup.shtml
This won't cause any harm.

I am still concerned though - I should have already been on the list (I got the "test" message) and several people on the Storm2K board are saying they got the test but no advisories as well. It seems the problem was not unique to me.

I signed up earlier today and got the advisory about 3 minutes later.
I would resubscribe if I were you.
